Description
Generates a CSV data feed via cronjob which can be used to create products in a Facebook catalog and thus for Instagramm.
The generated CSV file contains all fields Facebook requires. These are in detail:
id,title,description,availability,condition,price,sale_price,shipping_weight,link,image_link,brand,product_type,additional_image_link,item_group_id,custom_label_0,inventory,size,color,gender,age_group,pattern,google_product_category
Please ensure that the product images taken are present at least in the resolution 600px x 600px. Nevertheless, Facebook imports images with a lower resolution but provides them with a corresponding hint. Variants can be exported on request.
Please take a look at the documentation and installation instructions if there are problems creating the CSV file.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Why is the field "google_product_category" missing in my CSV file? You must complete at least one of the "Product Category Golbal (Optional)" or "Google Product Category (Article attribute)" fields to use "google_product_category" when creating the CSV file. For the type of content allocation, please read the help text in the plugin settings.
- The details about the Google Product Category are maintained in my shop at article level. How do I get this data into the CSV file? The prerequisite for this is that the information for the article is maintained in the article via the regular free-text field administration (s_articles_attributes). If this is the case, proceed as follows: 1. Go to an article in the backend and see what the field is called, where the Google category is maintained. 2. Switch to the free text field management (Settings -> Free text field management), select table if necessary: Article (s_articles_attributes) if not already preselected and search in the column "Label" for the named field name 3. Remember the attribute name from column "Column name" 4. Switch to InstaShopping's plugin settings and enter this column name in the "Google Product Category (Article Attribute)" box. 5. Save the changes and generate the CSV file.
- I activated and configured the plugin but it does not generate a CSV file. What's wrong? Probably it comes to a 404 (page not found) error. You should see this error in the Browser Developer Tools (Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + i) in the Network tab. If you see the above 404 error, please empty the shop cache (Ctrl + Alt + x) and try the feeder creation again. The CSV file should now be generated without errors.

Configuration manual
You will find a detailed description in our operating instructions: (currently only german)
https://brainstation-docs.gitbook.io/shopware/shopware-5-apps/instagram-shopping
- Step 1: Installation of plugin through plugin manager
- Step 2: Activate in the plugin configuration. Choose a category which you like to export the products from and choose the export path and filename. (Path must be callable so Facebook can get the data) i. e.: https://www.YOURDOMAIN.com/media/export/datafeed/instagram.csv
- Step 3: Enable Cronjob under Configuration - Basic settings - System - Cronjobs.
Recommended Cronjob settings:
• Next execution (03:00)
• Interval 1 day - Step 4: Clear the cache and rebuild your theme in the theme manager. The CSV file can be generated anytime via the button "Generate feed now". So this is immediately available.
Tips
If you do not want to transfer your entire product range to Facebook or only advertise a selection of products on Instagram, you can create a new main category (root level) to assign the desired products to and select this category in the plugin settings.
Troubleshooting 1. CSV file is not generated
- Please check the log files (Filesystem (FTP) var/log/plugin_production-DATE.log or in the Backend Settings - Logfile tab Sytem-Log). Maybe a message indicates to the problem. Please let us know this message if you contact us.
- PHP memory_limit may be too low. You should see in the log files.
- Following error due to general Javascript errors in the backend. Please check the output in your browser console (Chrome: right-click in the backend -> examine element -> Console tab). Please let us know the output if you contact us.
2. Csv file doesn't contain products
Check that the selected category is actually assigned to products. Manufacturer categories etc. are not suitable!
2. Prices are displayed incorrectly in Facebook
Check the currency settings "Select Default Currency" in the datafeed settings on Facebook. These should match your shop currency. In most cases this will be EUR - Euro.
