Installation manual1. Installation
Please buy the plugin and install it via the Plugin Manager.
After the installation the plugin has to be activated and the shop cache (frontend and backend) has to be emptied afterwards.
2. Additional information
The plugin uses a CronJob to automatically synchronize e-mails. This must be set up and triggered on your web server.
3. Establish connection with NEWSTROLL
After successful installation please open the backend view in Marketing -> cusati NEWSTROLL Newsletter.
Under Settings you can set the basic behavior of the plugin.
Please click on Create NEWSTROLL Account (opens a new tab) and set up a NEWSTROLL Account for your needs.
In the NEWSTROLL administration you have to create a new user with your admin account under System data -> User. The name of this user does not matter, but he absolutely needs the access right "API".
Assign this user a login and a password with the confirmation email (you may have to log out from your admin account to do this).
This user has no rights in the NEWSTROLL administration and therefore cannot log in. He exists only for the communication between Shopware and NEWSTROLL !
If you log into NEWSTROLL as Admin again, you can select the new API user under System data -> User. In the details a so-called Bearer Token is displayed, which is used for authentication between Shopware and NEWSTROLL .
Please copy it and paste it (without spaces) into the appropriate field in the Shopware backend.
When you press Save, a green success message must appear telling you that the connection to NEWSTROLL has been successfully established.
If this is not the case, please check whether the Bearer Token has been copied correctly and entered in the field without spaces or additional characters. If the connection still does not work, the error could be in the configuration of your company network. We will be happy to help you via Shopware Store Support.
4. Synchronization settings
In the lower area of Settings, you can set the synchronization behavior.
Activate automatic synchronization sets whether the CronJob should be executed. This is configured by default so that all configured distribution lists in which new users have logged on in the last three days are synchronized daily.
If Transfer personal data of users to NEWSTROLL is selected, the first and last names as well as the salutation of the persons are also transferred during synchronization.
Transfer quick order synchronizes not only registered customers, but also customers who have made purchases as quick orderers.
Please always check whether you have received the necessary consent from your customers for the transfer of the data!
5. Set up distribution groups
If you have not yet configured your distribution lists at NEWSTROLL , you can create and manage them by clicking on Manage distribution lists.
When you are done, you can refresh the distribution lists and the two tables will be updated.
You now have the option of specifying which customer or newsletter group will be transferred to which distribution list.
None (0): E-mails from this customer group are not transmitted.
all other sub-items represent the name and ID of the newsletter distributor
If you are satisfied with your configuration, you can select Transfer all e-mail addresses. All necessary data will be transferred to NEWSTROLL, which can take several minutes for larger shops. You will receive a notification when the process is completed. In the tab Distribution groups you can see all customer and newsletter groups of your shop as well as all distribution groups configured at NEWSTROLL.
