About the Extension

This extension adds true random product sorting to your Shopware store. Products can be shuffled in categories, cross-selling sections and dynamic product groups, creating more variety and a more dynamic storefront experience.

Instead of always showing the same products at the top of listings, products are displayed in a different order on each page load. This helps increase product visibility and makes your shop feel more dynamic for returning visitors.

Why is the “Random” sorting option not available in the sorting settings?

If the “Random” sorting option is not available when setting up the plugin, please make sure you are using the latest plugin version. In older versions and certain Shopware versions, the option might not have been displayed correctly. After updating the plugin, create the sorting again under Settings → Products → Sorting.

Can I enable random sorting globally for all cross-sellings?

The configuration is based on the structures provided by Shopware, such as cross-selling groups, categories, and dynamic product groups. Whether a global change for all existing cross-sellings is possible depends on your shop setup and the plugin version. If you want to update a large number of existing cross-sellings at once, feel free to contact us.

Does random sorting also work with manually assigned cross-sellings?

Random sorting is based on the sorting mechanisms provided by Shopware for categories, dynamic product groups, and cross-selling configurations. When cross-sellings are assigned purely manually, there may be conceptual limitations. In such cases, using a dynamic product group is usually the more flexible solution.
