Description:
At the end of 2017, Google introduced a new format for Google Ads Conversion Tracking. The old tracking codes currently still work, but they should no longer be in use. In current browsers, they will only work to a very limited extent due to the built-in tracking prevention functions.
The new tracking code consists of two elements. The "global site tag" is integrated on all pages of the shop. In addition, an "event tag" is integrated on the checkout success page for conversion tracking, in order to report orders with net prices and transaction numbers. Optionally, a conversion code can also be output in contact forms, for example in order to record leads via a contact form.
The plugin also supports event snippets for dynamic remarketing. The parameters ecomm_prodid, ecomm_pagetype and ecomm_totalvalue are supported on the product detail page and the product lists, in the shopping cart, the order overview, in the order completion and in quick view windows. This is how you can build target group lists. You can use this, for example, to target customers in the display network with the products they are interested in or to adjust bids for customers who have already been to your shop but have not yet bought.
From version 3.0.0 the plugin supports the cookie opt-in either with the Shopware Consent Tool or User Centrics/Ryte. If you choose one of the two consent tools in the plugin settings, the Google tracking codes will only be executed if the customer has already made an opt-in. Please note that the number of conversions can go down by up to 50% depending on the chosen representation of the opt-in.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Why are no conversions measured? First check whether the plugin settings are correct. Did you copy the conversion ID and conversion label correctly and is the plugin active for the respective subshop? If you do not find an error here, your theme or another plugin is probably preventing the Google Ads plugin from outputting its tracking code. The best way to check this is with the Google Tag Assistant (see installation description).
- What types of conversions does the plugin support In addition to the recording of new orders in the order completion, the plugin currently supports the recording of sent contact forms as conversions. Other conversion actions such as adding to the shopping cart etc. are currently not supported.

Einfach, effizient, super Support
Nachdem das Shopware-eigene Plugin aus mir nicht erklärbare Weise zwar die Google Analytics Einbindung korrekt macht, funktioniert es mit dem Google Conversion Tag so gar nicht. Daher musste eine Alternative her.
Kurz gesagt: Das Plugin macht was es soll und das sehr gut. Es wird das Google Tag in den Header eingebunden und dann auf der Bestellbestätigungsseite das entsprechende Conversion Tag.
Bei einem Problem mit der Einbindung, die auf einem nicht optimalen eigenen Template basierte, wurde uns sehr schnell und sehr gut geholfen.
Funktioniert bestens

Configuration manual
Please install and activate the plugin using the plugin manager. In the plugin settings you can select, in which subshops the plugin will be active.In your Google Ads Account please go to Tools => Measurement => Conversions and select the Conversion of the Type Purchase/Sale you would like to use for conversion tracking in your shop.
Open the "Tag Setup" section ans select "Use Google Tag Manager". You will then find two values:
- Conversion ID
- Conversion label
Enter your conversion id and the conversion label in the plugin settings. Then we recommend you place a test order and check the source code of the checkout finish page. You should find the code there now.
Notice: If you have used some plugin to implement the old Adwords Conversion Tracking Code you should disable it. Otherwise conversions might be recorded twice.
