WhatsApp LiveChat-Badge + Sharing-Button for Shopware 6


We operate an online shop ourselves, but are also on the road to visit local retailers or bound by customer calls, so we could not always respond to live chat requests on our website immediately. With conventional website chat tools, customers were immediately gone after 2-3 minutes without an answer and no longer reachable for us. With the WhatsApp chat function, you get the personal mobile phone number of your customers and can even reply after hours. In addition, it offers you the opportunity to clarify inquiries that you cannot immediately answer (e.g., requests only could be answered by the manufacturer or a specialist in your company), and then later to answer the customer. It’s also possible also to send pictures. More service is not possible!


Ideally, you use the Whats App chat version for the desktop so that you can conveniently respond via keyboard. If you are not currently on the PC, you have the synchronized chat on your mobile.


Due to technical restrictions by WhatsApp it is not possible to offer the whole chat on your website. We try to get the best experience possible for your customers by enabling an easy way to chat with you over Whats App on any device. Get a free 30 day trail version and check it our yourself!


This plugin does not cover the WhatsApp business api.

  • Do I need to update my privacy policy if I use this plugin? Now there is finally clarity. Every company that uses WhatsApp as a communication tool should use WhatsApp in the business version and must also include this in the data protection regulations. You need to add a notice about WhatsApp in you privacy policy at least if you use this plugin in Germany (we can't tell for other countries). If you obtain your privacy policy from one of the providers below, you can easily add this text. If you're not using one of these providers please contact your legal advisor. - At the Händlerbund you will find the setting options in the "Settings Privacy Policy". - At the IT-Recht Kanzlei, this option can be selected in the data protection configurator in the "Contact" area. - At Trusted Shops, a corresponding option will only be available with the next update.
  • Is this plugin compatible with WhatsApp Business? Of course, our plugin also works with the WhatsApp Business Version and for smaller companies, use is 100% free. This business version can be downloaded here https://www.whatsapp.com/business/.   • Does WhatsApp still have to be included in the data protection regulations if the company only uses the normal / private WhatsApp version? The data protection clause is only intended for WhatsApp Business and not for any other version. However, we would like to point out that it is against WhatsApp's terms of use if you maintain commercial / business contact with your customers as part of WhatsApp. It may well be that WhatsApp actively takes action against this if you violate the terms of use. For this reason, we recommend that you only use WhatsApp Business.
  • Does WhatsApp (Business) also have to be included if the company uses the business version but does not look for renewed contact with the customer, does not "label" him or does he save the data? You should answer the query with "yes" if you e.g. provide the option in your online shop that you can contact customers via WhatsApp Business.
