Redirect to SeoURL

Occasionally, SEO-URLs for products or categories cannot be properly generated by Shopware, or that for instance the HTTP-Cache is warmed up without the SEO-Index being regenerated aforehand.  Since Shopware always produces valid content for product and category content via Non-SEO-URLs as well as via SEO-URLs, and also does not set Canonical Meta-Tags in these situations, Non-SEO-URLs often end up being indexed by Google, producing harmful duplicate content in the process.  You can check whether or not this affects your shop by using a Google site query like so (please replace "www.your-domain.de" with the domain of your shop):

site:www.your-domain.de/detail/index

If either of these site queries produces results, then you need the WizmoGmbhRedirectToSeoUrl plugin!  With this plugin you will be able to redirect content requests via Non-SEO-URLs to their proper SEO-URLs, and thus remove Non-SEO-URLs from the Google without incurring loss of ranking and get rid of pesky duplicate content problems once and for all.

Once a Non-SEO-URL is requested, our plugin will check whether Shopware has already generated a valid SEO-URL for the requested content.  If it finds such a SEO-URL, the browser is redirected to this SEO-URL with a "Permanently moved (Status 301)" header, causing Google to remove the indexed Non-SEO-URL and pass its ranking on to the proper SEO-URL in the process.  If no matching SEO-URL is found for the requested content, the plugin does nothing and the content is returned by Shopware as usual.  This could happen if two products or categories would - according to their URL template configuration - end up getting identical SEO-URLs; in this case Shopware only generates a SEO-URL for the first URL and leaves the second without SEO-URL at all.  Another possibility is that a manual, static SEO route exists for a completely different site resource.  It's also possible that Shopware has not generated any SEO-URLs yet, in this case it's advisable to refresh the SEO Index manually before installing the plugin.  If any of these cases apply to you, then the plugin will not affect the standard behavior of Shopware in any way.

Other plugins require you to create and continuously maintain lengthy lists of URLs, but our plugin does this automatically and requires no manual input whatsoever!

Important:  Upon installation of this plugin the HTTP cache will be emptied.  The reason for this is that in case there exist HTTP cache entries for Non-SEO-URLs, this cached content will be returned without ever querying any plugins due to Shopware's cache implementation.  You may cancel / prevent the clearing of the HTTP cache when installing the plugin, but be aware that you will then have to wait for the Non-SEO-URL cache contents to naturally expire.  Depending on your configuration this may take a while, by default no more than an hour.  Afterwards, the plugin will be allowed to work and will prevent such Non-SEO-URL cache entried from ever being created.
