Extended Address Validation for the frontend
The extended address validation checks if the data, entered by a customer on the registration page is valid and gives immediate feedback if an error has been detected. Apart from that additional validations will be added, e.g a valid postcode in the country of the customer or the occurence of non allowed characters in certain fields.
Exclude invalid data
The connection of the fields street + house number in Shopware 5 often causes the auto completion of diverse browsers to fail which causes orders without a house number to be valid, which you then, tediously need to ask the customer. The extended address validation Plugin prevents this from happening and spares you from that extra work.
Individual Feedback Messages
The customer immediately receives an error message, which can easily be customized with the provided text snippets.
This plugin offers a variety of configuration options, which can define the depth of validation
- Top-Level-Domain needs to be entered at the email field(e.g name@domain is not valid anymore)
- Double and unneeded spaces will be removed automatically
- DE: House number must be entered
- Only letters allowed in city names
- Limit phone numbers on numbers and “+”(“+” symbol can be banned too)
- Spaces necessary in dutch postcodes
- Ban certain postcodes
Inventory control systems like plentymarkets often correspond with the data provided by the customer, since Shopware is significantly more tolerant. By using the extended validation, errors will be excluded and problems with interfaces/connectors will reliably be reduced or completely excluded.
