Would you like to show a part of your category tree in the main navigation of your shop?
Then you can of course simply activate the option "DO NOT show in top navigation" for all other categories. But what if a subcategory should be displayed? The independent root category for top navigation plugin allows you to set a subcategory of the shop as root category for the top navigation. The only restriction: The subcategory must be part of the category tree of the shop - i.e. no categories can be used which are assigned to another subshop. The configuration of the plugin is very easy: Select the desired category in the plugin configuration, empty the cache - done. The standalone root category for top navigation plugin is also compatible with Shopware AG's "Extended Menu" plugin.
As it is not yet clear if the function of this plugin is needed in Shopware 6, the release period falls on December 2021. If you definitely need this plugin, contact us at email@example.com and we will release the plugin as soon as possible.
