About the Extension

A wrong and not up-to-date category structure in the shop leads sometimes to sales slumps and to the confusion of your customers.
Due to changes in the category structure in the backend or the direct import of category data into the shop database, it may happen that the structure is not transferred directly to the shop.

Our plugin adds a cronjob that automatically rebuilds the category tree of the shop at regular intervals.

Both the execution time and the interval can be freely configured in the backend using the cronjob settings.


Recommendation for the configuration of the plugin

Execution time of the cronjob

The cronjob for automatically rebuild the category tree cache should, if possible, be executed at night, as there are usually the least accesses to the shop.

Interval of the cronjob

Basically, the category tree should only be rebuilt often, if changes to the categories of the shop are made frequently. If this is not the case, then the category tree does not have to be rebuilt as often.
For the execution o the cronjob we recommend an interval of one day, which must be deposit in Shopware with 86400 seconds.


Note: A complete and correct functionality of this plugin can only be guaranteed for the standard themes "Bare" and "Responsive".
