With Piwik / Matomo you are in full control over your data because you host the Open Source Tracking Tool by yourself. You can tweak it perfectly to your needs and even really complex analysis are possible. Perfect for your Ecommerce needs.

ajax vs. Tracking Tools

For the modern shopping experience from Shopware the use of Ajax is necessary. The Shop is not loading a complete page, sometime only parts are reloaded, e.g. when switching a product variation. Google analytics and Piwik / Matomo can not track this by default. But this plugin recognises the most important Ajax requests and adds them to the analysis.

Sure it is interesting which Page is most clicked by the users and to see where they are from. But in Ecommerce these are not the most important insights. You need to know the behaviour from the Customers who spend money in the shop.

Einfach zu installieren und konfigurieren. Hat alles bei was man brauch, normales Tracking und E-Commerce. Selbst doubleWebsiteID wenn man eine Website mit mehreren Instanzen auf Matomo tracken möchte. Support ist super schnell und hilfsbereit, mein kleiner Feature Request wurde prompt umgesetzt.

In Sachen Funktionalität gibt's einen Punkt Abzug, weil anfänglich ein Fehler mit Filtern im Listing auftrat, das Problem wurde aber sehr schnell gelöst und mittels Update bereinigt. In Sachen Bedienung gibt's einen Punkt Abzug, weil man die Syntax der Matomo-URL exakt einhalten muss und das bei mir ein paar Versuche benötigte, bis es lief. Ich empfehle hier, dass das Plugin tolerant mit Fehleingaben umgeht oder die Syntax klarer wird (mit https und Trailing Slash oder ohne beides - aber nicht ohne https aber mit Trailing-Slash. Das Plugin ist, gemessen am Preis, sehr gut und ich kann es für Matomo-User nur empfehlen!
