Description

About the Extension

During time, especially after a relaunch or a larger update, some old URLs in your shop will no longer be applicable or available. Using our plug-in, you can now conveniently redirect those URLs to the right ones, the new URLs of your products, categories, blog content, shopping environments or any sub-pages. All this from within a convenient interface within your Shopware backend.

A redirect will have a positive effect on your customers, as they can find their favorite products using the URLs the knew and bookmarked. Even your search engine ranks in Google and others will benefit, as it is an important factor to redirect URLs with a good reputation rather than to run into dead ends.

The plugin uses the correct method to tell redirects to Google and other search engines (using HTTP 301 redirect headers). So search engines will be able to access and index the contents of your shop again.

With our intuitive interface (in the original Shopware look & feel), you can easily manage the forwarding and temporarily deactivate it and temporarily activate it if desired.

With the new function CSV-Import, you can import existing lists of redirects from Excel directly into the plug-in and thus create all redirects in only one click. The import routine provides different column formats for maximum flexibility.

With the new version of the plug-in, you can easily redirect existing URLs generated by Shopware to other subpages and therefore have e.g. your own subpages for presenting your vendors/suppliers. The plugin now allows temporary forwarding with HTTP status code 302 as well, if you want to redirect pages only for a certain time.

Dieses Plugin macht was es soll. Es ist zwar einiges an Aufwand, die Einträge vorzunehmen, doch es lohnt sich allemal.

Nur noch eine Frage dazu: wie wende ich die Platzhalter in der alten URL an?

Das Plugin hat, gerade durch seine Import Funktion, den manuellen Prozess von Eintragungen stark vereinfacht und spart somit enorm an Zeit. Vielen Dank dafür.

Eine Beschreibung bzgl. der Import-Definierung der Yes/No Felder in der csv Datei wäre vielleicht für einige Anwender hilfreich? (Dies aber nur als Anregung.)

Wir setzen das Plugin für Produkte ein, die bei Google noch mit der URL des alten Shops gelistet sind. Schön wäre neben dem Import auch eine Export-Funktion, um Massenänderungen durchführen zu können.

Lediglich ein kleines Sternchen, da der Anbieter nicht direkt telefonisch erreichbar war, hat aber dann zurückgerufen - deshalb bleiben auch 9 Sterne übrig ;-)
Ansonsten klappt das Plugin reibungslos: Schnell installiert, Maske selbsterklärend, URLs zugeordnet, Cache geleert => Fertig!

Configuration manual

Install the plugin via the Plugin manager within your Shopware backend. After activating the plugin and a reload of the backend the menu entry for adding redirects is Settings > SEO redirects.

Using our intuitive interface you can add and manage your redirects. Please enter the following details for every redirect:

Old URL: which visitors enter in the address line of their browsers

Redirect target: which visitors should be led to within your Shopware shop

Replace existing Shopware URL: if you want to redirect an URL already used by some Shopware contents

only temporary (302): if you want to tell browsers and search engines that the redirect won't stay forever

As soon, as you activate the redirect, it will instantly start redirecting your visitors to the new URL.

Import / Export

The plugin includes an import and export function using CSV files. You can edit CSV files using MS Excel, Mac OS Numbers or similar spreadsheet programs. You can also edit those files using a text editor. The colums of the CSV file depend on the setting you select in the import dialogue in the backend. Please use 0 (for "no"/"false") and 1 (for "yes"/"true") as a value in columns "active", "temporary", "override", and "external". Note that URLs (in columns "old URL" and "redirect target") should always start with a slash "/" except for external redirect targets which should start with https://.

Redirect settings "subshop" and "Content Gone (410)" are now also available in CSV export and import functions in the backend. To import these properties, please use the new formats "7 columns" or "8 columns" and, when in doubt, use an export file as a template for your import file. If you want some of the redirects not to be restricted to one subshop, please just leave the column empty.
