What is an E-Invoice?

An E-Invoice enables the electronic transmission of invoice information that can be automatically received and further processed. This allows for a fully digital process from invoice creation to payment.

In contrast to paper invoices or PDFs, an E-Invoice contains structured, machine-readable data. This allows invoices created in this format to be seamlessly transmitted, received, and automatically processed electronically, without any media disruption. This enables efficient and error-free processing up to payment.
