Purpose of the plugin

The Store Locator plugin enhances the shop with a comprehensive branch and retailer search function featuring interactive Google Maps integration. Locations can be clearly displayed, and customers can be provided with all relevant information about branches, retailers or collection points.

Creating and managing branches and retailer groups

Branches, retailers and locations can be created and managed directly in the Shopware admin panel. Information such as contact details, opening hours, images or product ranges can be maintained. Additionally, groups can be created to clearly structure different branch types or brands.

The automatic calculation of geocoordinates simplifies management and ensures that locations are displayed correctly on the map.

Interactive store locator map with Google Maps

All branches can be clearly displayed on an interactive Google Maps map. Customers can quickly find locations by searching for a town or postcode and view important information directly on the map. Branches can also be filtered by distance to make it easier to find suitable retailers or collection points nearby.

For optimal display, Google Maps markers and map styles can be customised. Where there are many locations, the integrated marker clustering function ensures a clear display.

The integration of Google Maps is GDPR-compliant. Map content can only be loaded once visitors have given their consent, and integrated cookie and privacy notices ensure compliance with data protection regulations.

Customised detail pages with experience zones
Customised detail pages can be created for each branch. A pre-designed experience zone layout for store detail pages enables quick integration into the shop and can be flexibly adapted to your own design.

Integration into customer accounts and the ordering process

The plugin offers functions for integrating branches into customer accounts and the ordering process. Customers can select and save a preferred branch. Furthermore, a store selection can be integrated directly into the checkout, for example for click-and-collect or collection processes.

Optimised for search engines
Individual SEO URLs, meta titles and meta descriptions can be set for branch and location pages. This allows individual location pages to be specifically optimised for search engines and made easier to find.

Das Plugin macht genau was wir brauchen, ist intuitiv und einfach zu bedienen.
Aber das allerwichtigste ist der Support, bei allen Fragen hatten wir stets innert ein paar Stunden eine Antwort und bei der Anfrage einer Erweiterung wurde das zeitnah umgesetzt.
Ich kann dieses Plugin und diesen Hersteller nur empfehlen

Super Tool um unseren Kunden unsere verschiedenen Standorte und Öffnungszeiten zu zeigen (Adressen und Karte). Im Backend können die verschiedenen Lokationen einfach administriert werden.

Installation

Access the Plugin Manager via Settings > System > Plugins
Upload, install and activate the plugin

Configure the Google Maps API key

Extensions > My Extensions > Store Locator > Configure

A Google API key must be entered to use the Store Locator. This is used to display the Google Maps map and to calculate the geographical coordinates.
Optionally, a Google Maps Map ID can also be entered for custom map styling.
When privacy mode is enabled, the Google Maps map is only loaded once cookies have been accepted.

Configure general Store Locator settings

Extensions > My Extensions > Store Locator > Configure

In the plugin settings, you can customise various options relating to the display and use of the Store Locator.
These include, amongst others:

Privacy and notification functions

Zoom level and starting position of the map

Display of the search and distance fields
Display of branches on the map
Layout for list view
Customisation of the Google Maps information window
Customisation of map markers and icons
Display of the branch overlay on the Google Maps map
Marker clustering for multiple locations
Configure customer account and ordering process

Create stores

Settings > Extensions > Store Locator > Stores / Retailer Locator > Stores

The following information, amongst other things, can be maintained for each location:

Company name
Address and contact details
Opening hours

Create groups

Settings > Extensions > Store Locator > Stores / Dealers Locator > Groups

Using Experience Worlds for store detail pages

Content > Experience Worlds > Stores / Retailers
The plugin includes a standard layout for store detail pages, which can be customised. To do this, the ‘Default Store Page Layout’ can be duplicated and adapted. Additionally, further Experience Worlds elements are available under Block Category > ACRIS Stores / Retailers.

Using custom fields

Settings > System > Custom Fields

Custom fields can be created for the store locator entity. This allows additional custom information to be stored directly for stores and subsequently used in the frontend.

Integrating the store locator into the shop

The store locator can be accessed directly via the URL /store-locator in the shop (e.g. https://www.acris.at/store-locator). The page can then be linked to via the shop’s main navigation bar, for example.
