Storefront File Upload for Products
Description
Highlights
About the Extension
Customers can easily upload relevant files such as images, PDFs, or other documents to a product on the product detail page. The file types can be restricted.
A preview allows customers to quickly visually review the uploaded file.
The uploaded files can be stored on your own server or you can use our Cloud Service, where the files are stored with a German hosting provider. You have control over the storage location for your uploads and can choose the option that best suits your individual requirements.
If it turns out that an uploaded file is unusable, a re-upload can be requested.
On our website, you will find a comprehensive documentation detailing all features and configuration options.
Local Upload
When you use local upload, files are uploaded to and stored on your server.
For uploading larger files, adjusting the PHP settings of your server may be necessary. By default, PHP settings allow uploading files up to a size of 2 megabytes. Please note that these settings cannot be changed via the Shopware administration. If you are unsure about adjusting PHP settings, please contact your hosting provider.
When using local upload, only file types supported by the Shopware 6 Media Manager are allowed. The list of supported file types can be modified by adjusting the file system configuration of Shopware. Unfortunately, displaying preview images for PDF and SVG files is not possible with local upload.
For all the details and instructions regarding configuration, refer to the Documentation for Local Upload.
Cloud Upload
When you use the Cloud Upload, files are uploaded to our Codebarista Cloud Upload Service and stored with a German hosting provider.
While renting the plugin, you have a free contingent of 5 gigabytes for a maximum of 10,000 files. The maximum size for a single file is 500 megabytes, and the maximum retention period is 30 days.
Uploaded files do not consume storage space on your server, and there is no traffic cost for you during the upload. Preview thumbnails are generated by the Codebarista Cloud Upload Service without affecting your server's performance. The service also supports the creation of preview thumbnails for PDFs and SVGs.
There are no restrictions on the types of files that can be uploaded. However, note that not all file types may support preview thumbnails.
With the Codebarista Cloud Upload Service, your shop can grow worry-free, as you don't have to worry about details such as storage space, bandwidth, and CPU performance for file uploads.
To use the Codebarista Cloud Upload Service, you will need an API key. Here's how you can obtain your API key.
You can find all the details in the documentation for Cloud Upload.

Tolles Plugin
