Checkout Custom Field

The default checkout is not informative enough and the default doesn’t support adding a custom field to the checkout page. This is where our extension comes in handy. Get direct and valuable information from your checkout page to know your customers better in order to serve them better.

You don’t need to interfere with your code-based or template in other for this add-on to work. Simply assign the custom field you want to the checkout page with a simple switch.

(For now: free support to attacth custom fields in the email information.)

List of field types support at the moment:

• Text field

• Text editor

• Number

• Date/Time

• Checkbox

• Active switch

• Text editor

• Color picker

Functions included:

- Editing title and description of the Checkout Custom Field blocks.

- Choose the position to put the custom fields at the checkout page.

- Choose customer groups to enable custom fields.

- Show checkout custom field in pdf.

User Guide:

• Step 1: Enable plugin:

Go to My extension > Apps > Bss Checkout Custom Field Plugin > Enable the plugin > Configuration.

Choose the “Sale channel” and Enable plugin at the “General Configuration”.

Enable/ Disable "Show checkout custom field in pdf" (the pdf is the document created from each backend order) 

• Step 2: Choose the custom field to show at the checkout page:

Go to Setting > System > Custom Fields > Choose/ or create custom field set > Edit.

At “General information” > Assign to > Choose “Checkout page” 

Select "customer group" and "Position" to show the custom fields at the checkout page. > Save.

• Result: Your checkout page (complete order page) will show your custom field set, after filling in the custom fields, the order detail page will show the custom field’s information.
