Google Price Suggestions API

About the Extension

This module establishes the connection between your store and your Google Merchant Center. There is a rather hidden page entitled “Recommended selling prices with the biggest performance increase”, which you can find under Analytics > Products > Prices > Show more. We analyze this data for you and display it directly for your store products.

The following values are provided in the Merchant Center:

Your current price

Suggested price

Predicted increase in clicks

Estimated increase in sales

Effectiveness of the price action

Our system collects the following information:

Suggested price

Expected increase in clicks

Predicted increase in conversions

This data is added to the relevant products in your store - based on the product name.

Your prices are NOT changed - you are only informed about your options and have everything under control. This also makes the plugin interesting for retailers who use an ERP. 

Below your product you will see a traffic light in gray, red, yellow or green. Gray means “no data found”.  You can configure the other colors as you wish. They relate to the improvement in the sales rate. 

For example, green can mean the sales rate can be improved by up to 60 %, yellow means between 60 and 100 % and red means over 100 % improvement is possible.

This gives you a quick overview of all your products, and you can immediately see where it is worth taking a closer look. 

FAQ: 

Are there any costs for using the API?

Short answer: no

Long answer: According to Google, using the Google Merchant API is free of charge as long as you stay within the "standard quotas". You can find your personal quota by logging into the Google Cloud Console (console.cloud.google.com), selecting your Google Cloud project and navigating to IAM and Administration > Quotas and System Limits. 

It usually says “unlimited”.
