About the Extension

With Search with Cam / Barcode & QR Scanner, you can enhance your Shopware search with a powerful scanning feature.

The seller can add an extra button to the search bar, allowing customers to use their webcam or smartphone camera to scan QR codes or barcodes. After scanning, the customer is immediately directed to the corresponding product page.

This is especially useful when a customer sees a product in a store, catalog, or on packaging and wants to quickly locate it in your online shop.

The plugin uses modern scanning libraries ZXing and Quagga2, providing fast, reliable detection. Quagga2 significantly improves iPhone and iOS compatibility, ensuring smooth scanning on all devices.

After installation, the user can:

Scan directly from the search bar
Switch between front and back cameras
Recognize QR codes and barcodes reliably
Instantly navigate to the matching product

A secure HTTPS connection is required for the plugin to function.
