Reusable CMS Block management

The new administration menu 'Content / Static CMS Blocks' has been introduced, providing a centralized location for managing your CMS blocks. This section allows you to list, create, edit, and delete localized CMS blocks, offering support for HTML, too. These CMS blocks can be seamlessly integrated into shopping experiences and emails via their identifier code, enhancing the versatility of your content.

Additionally, you can bulk import or export your CMS blocks using the Import/Export profile.

Development

Installation

Follow the installation instruction from your Shopware Account. There is no special configuration required.

Usage

CMS Block Management

In Administration there is a new menu entry "Content / Static CMS blocks". Here you can view and create CMS blocks. Use the search input at the top to find CMS blocks.

Create your first CMS block by clicking the "Add CMS block" button. Enter an identifier for your block. This identifier has to be unique for all CMS blocks and should contain only alphanumeric characters, underscores and minus. Enter your content and save the block. You can set content for a different translation after you saved your CMS block.

Shopping experiences

You can include the CMS block in different shopping experience layouts. Open any layout, click on "Add", and select from block category "Commerce" the block "Static CMS block". Move it into the content and edit the block. A new popup opens and you should be able to select any CMS block you created before. Save the layout and the CMS block should be available in the storefront.

Emails

You can reuse your static CMS blocks in your emails. Edit any email via "Settings / Email templates". Put following text into the email template:

What does this mean? `msStaticCmsBlock` is the name of the function, in brackets enter the identifier of your CMS block which you previously created. If you're using HTML in your block, make sure to use `|raw` in the end to make sure HTML is being rendered.

If you are a developer and have access to the theme templates, you can use the same format to use the static CMS blocks in the Twig files.

Import/Export

For bulk operations we added new profile in import/export. Go to "Settings / Import/Export", select either Import or Export and use the profile "Static CMS blocks". You can change or duplicate the profile to your needs. For example, if you want to import multiple translations at once, map your column to "translations.de-DE.content" and "translations.en-GB.content".

Headless Storefront

If you're using a headless solution in your webshop instead of the default storefront, you can use the static CMS blocks via Store-API. Please follow the instructions on https://developer.shopware.com/docs/concepts/api/store-api.html first. If correctly configured, you can use these paths to access CMS block content:
