About the Extension
The plugin extends the filter selection in the product listing and search results with an additional filter that can be used to display newly published products.
Usage example:
Filtering for products that are new:
When the filter is activated, only products with a release date that is a maximum of X days in the past are displayed.
Product settings:
A date must be stored in the "Publication date" field for the products.
Settings in the product settings:
Under Settings → Products, a period (in days) must be stored for which products are to be marked as "new". Ex: If 30 days are entered here, the activated filter will only show products with publication dates less than 30 days in the past.
Other configuration options:
The option "Show filter on all category pages by default (yes/no)" ensures that the filter is displayed on all category pages by default. If this option is enabled, the filter can no longer be turned on or off in individual categories (the option for this disappears).
The "Enable filter by default on all category pages (yes/no)" option ensures that the filter is enabled by default where it is shown. Activating this function ensures that only products that are directly available are displayed in the store by default.
The text module "ndsFilterNewProducts.filterPanelLabel" can be used to customize the name of the filter in the frontend.
