The Cross-Selling Finder turns these signals into three types of automated product recommendations — without you assigning a single product manually.
The result: higher average order values, better product discovery, and cross-selling that actually reflects how your customers shop.
Three independent recommendation engines
Each engine runs its own search, its own threshold check, and its own fallback logic. They work in parallel, never blocking each other.
Frequently Bought Together
Scans your entire order history and finds products that customers actually purchased in the same cart. Not "related by category" — actually bought together. Sort by purchase frequency or by recency to surface trending combinations.
Smart Accessories
You define which categories are accessories — cases, cables, chargers, replacement parts, consumables — and the plugin automatically matches them to the right products based on real purchase data. A smartphone shows the right case. A laptop shows the right bag. A printer shows the right cartridge.
Similar Products
Uses category and property matching (color, material, size) to find alternatives within the same product family. Works without any order history — perfect for new shops, new products, or long-tail items that don't appear in enough orders yet.
A dashboard that shows you exactly what's happening
The two-panel live dashboard gives you full control:
- Left panel: Real-time progress bar with a live feed — product thumbnails, group names, and assigned product counts as they are created
- Right panel: Three stat cards — processed, matched, missed — updated with every batch
- Controls: Start all products or a hand-picked selection, stop anytime, resume where you left off
- Job history: Full log of every processing run with status badges and statistics
Background automation — set it and forget it
Enable the built-in cron job and the plugin scans your catalog continuously via Symfony Messenger. Configure batch size (1–5 products per run), and recommendations stay current as new orders come in. New products get matched. Seasonal trends get reflected. No manual work required.
How the algorithm works
- Scan orders — Finds products that appeared together in completed orders
- Apply strategy — Most Purchased (by frequency) or Trend (by recency)
- Detect variants — Automatically resolves variants to parent products and considers sibling variants
- Threshold check — Each engine independently verifies minimum product count
- Fallback: parent + siblings — If below threshold, expands search to include parent and all its variants
- Fallback: category similarity — If still below, finds products with matching categories and properties
- Fallback: category neighbor — If nothing found at all, copies recommendations from a similar product in the same category
- Save natively — Writes directly into Shopware's cross-selling structure — no custom storefront code needed
