About the Extension

The Configuration Manager extension provides an efficient and structured approach to managing configuration synchronization across different Shopware environments, such as Development, Staging, and Production. It is designed to streamline the process of transferring system, plugin, and app configurations, particularly in scenarios involving multiple team members or when adhering to a formal release management workflow.

Traditionally, the process of migrating configuration settings between environments requires manual work, often involving side-by-side browser windows and copying values individually. Configuration Manager automates this task by offering a searchable and selectable list of configuration entries that can be copied and transferred with ease.

Core Functionality:

• Targeted Search: Users can locate specific system, plugin, or app configurations by searching via their canonical technical names, ensuring accuracy and reducing the risk of errors.
  
• Bulk Selection and Copy: Multiple configurations can be selected at once, enabling efficient bulk transfers to the clipboard with minimal effort.
  
• Paste Across Environments: Once the configurations are copied, they can be pasted into the target environment with a single action.
  
• Detailed Diff Comparison: Before applying changes, a diff view is provided to display any differences between the existing and incoming configuration values. This feature enables administrators to review changes and see which settings are going to be overwritten, down to individual characters.
