About the Extension

The plugin allows you to embed up to four videos of different formats within a single product.

Individual videos can be assigned to each product, and field entries can also be managed via CSV import.

This eliminates the need to manually search for and enter file paths—simply add the relevant video ID or URL and define the desired position.

The plugin supports YouTube, Vimeo, and HTML5 videos. It is fully DSGVO-compliant and provides a wide range of options for flexible video integration.

Depending on the platform, various parameters are available.

In general, videos can be set to loop, start muted, display without controls, or hide the title.

For YouTube, additional options include hiding the YouTube logo, disabling keyboard controls (e.g., space bar for play/pause), hiding video recommendations at the end (these are automatically suppressed when the loop option is active), and hiding annotations (no longer supported for new videos since 2019).

For Vimeo, you can prevent the transmission of session data.

For HTML5 videos, the preload option can be enabled, allowing the video to load even if it is not yet being played.

Optionally, you can also assign a custom thumbnail image for each video in the product slider, so that a preview image is displayed instead of the video itself.

The plugin has been optimized for use with the standard Shopware 6 theme only, and has not been tested for use with other plugins.
As incompatibilities may occur, we strongly recommend testing the trial version in an isolated environment beforehand, rather than in your active production system, to avoid complications.

YouTube videos are embedded using the extended privacy mode.
Nevertheless, YouTube collects data on video usage, sets cookies, uses them for purposes such as fraud prevention, and connects to the Google DoubleClick network.
When you start a video, this may trigger additional data processing operations, which cannot be influenced.

Please also note that modern browsers block the autoplay function unless videos are muted.
Therefore, the Mute parameter should be enabled if autoplay is desired.
Depending on the device or operating system, there may also be a general restriction of this function.
