About the Extension

In shops with a large category tree and many product listings in parent categories, navigation can often be difficult for customers—especially on mobile devices.

When customers are in a parent category, they cannot immediately see that there are subcategories. These are only accessible through the burger menu. With this plugin, you have the option to integrate a slider into parent categories that displays subcategories with an image. This way, customers can immediately see that subcategories exist.

The images provide a better overview and allow for easy navigation into subcategories, helping customers reach the products they're looking for. Through the category layouts, you can individually place the slider and activate it in categories where it makes sense.

The images shown in the slider can be maintained separately from the default category images via a custom text field. The slider includes a navigation feature that can be enabled or disabled. This navigation function allows users to return to a previous category.

The individual category images are size-adjustable, and the corners can be displayed either square or rounded. Thanks to the various customization options, categories can be visually represented as tiles, circles, or in other modified styles. The border radius can be freely defined. You can also use the plugin, for example, to display subcategories of important product groups on the homepage as entry points.

Follow the installation guide to integrate the slider into your shop. Don’t forget to activate the slider in the plugin settings for the desired sales channel. The category images can simply be placed in a folder, where appropriate thumbnail sizes can be defined. Images in different formats should be placed in separate folders.

Diese Plugin hatten wir bereits in SW5 im Einsatz. Videoaufzeichnungen unserer Kunden haben gezeigt, dass diese diese Navigation sehr oft benutzen. Das Plugin hat viele Einstellmöglichkeiten um es perfekt an die Bedürfnisse anpassen zu können. Der Support ist sehr hilfsbereit. Updates an neue Shopware-Versionen werden innert kürze bereitgestellt. Kann ich nur empfehlen!
