About the Extension
In Shopware, content can be maintained both in the layout and directly in the category. This means that the system offers a lot of freedom, for example to create standardized layouts for category or product pages that can still be flexibly adapted to categories, but this can lead to confusion and, in the worst case, to legally relevant errors. This separation of layout (experience world) and category makes no sense for 1:1 assignments such as terms and conditions, legal notice, data protection or general content pages (homepage, about us, ...).
This can have disastrous consequences, especially in the example of terms and conditions. If the content of the terms and conditions is adjusted directly in the category, this logically overwrites the content (terms and conditions) of the layout. In the frontend, the correct text is displayed in the GTC category. In the checkout, however, the layout (experience world) is loaded directly via AJAX in a modal window - with the outdated content.
Content editing in categories can generally be deactivated via the plugin. For desired layouts (worlds of experience) such as category layouts, it is possible to reactivate this option.
In addition, the layout tab in each category shows where the content is loaded from in the frontend.
