About the Extension

Anyone who wants to use their shop as a purely online catalog or offer individual products for purchase only to certain customer groups has been at a disadvantage until now.

PurchaseBlocker provides a solution and allows you to specifically deactivate the ordering option for individual products in the shop at the customer group level – including guest users (customers who are not logged in).

In the product administration, you can easily select the customer groups that are not allowed to order a product. These customers will still see all product information in the storefront, but will not be able to add the item to their shopping cart or purchase it.

Even non-logged-in visitors (guest customers) can be specifically excluded from purchasing individual products. This makes it ideal for shops that, for example, want to offer B2B products only to registered business customers – while end customers or guest users are only allowed to view the product range.

Optionally, a notice text can be displayed in the storefront explaining why the product cannot be ordered.

PurchaseBlocker is suitable for all retailers who:

• want to operate their store as a digital product catalog,
• want to specifically release or block products for specific customer groups,
• or want to offer products only as visible but not for purchase – without having to change their inventory.

Compatibility

Our extension is generally compatible with all our own extensions, provided that the respective functionalities do not conflict with each other.
For third-party extensions, including Shopware’s premium extensions, we cannot guarantee unrestricted compatibility. Should any issues arise in this context, our support team will be happy to assist you.
Naturally, when new Shopware versions are released, we ensure that our extension is made compatible with them in a timely manner.
Please note that our statements refer to the Shopware Community Edition with the standard responsive theme.

To process your request as quickly as possible, please ensure that:

• The latest version of our extension, compatible with your Shopware version, is installed
• You have a valid rental or subscription license
• The issue also occurs in the Shopware standard theme and with all third-party extensions deactivated
• No changes have been made by you or third parties to the plugin code
• You have studied the manual in advance, as it already contains many helpful pieces of information

In most cases, it is necessary for us to have unrestricted access to your shop’s administration in order to analyze and fix the problem. Additionally, it may be required for you to provide us with FTP or ideally SSH credentials for your server. Please note that setting up and later removing these accesses is your responsibility.

For a smooth troubleshooting process, we recommend conducting support in a staging or development environment. This allows issues to be reproduced under controlled conditions without affecting your live shop.
