The NextGen OpenAI Chatbot brings intelligent 24/7 customer support and natural-language product discovery directly into your Shopware 6 storefront. Connected to real shop data, it helps customers choose the right products faster and reduces support workload.

Powered by the free OpenAI AI Assistants & Agents Manager
Central control happens via the OpenAI AI Assistants & Agents Manager in the Shopware Administration: assistants, tools, tags, vector stores, and test workflows are managed there. This Chatbot plugin simply “plays out” the assistants you configured in the backend—so improvements to your agent setup apply across the entire 5 Elements AI plugin suite.
Important: The Agents Manager is a backend control center. It is intentionally backend-only and does not provide a storefront widget by itself. The storefront experience (UI, rendering, templates) is provided by this Chatbot plugin.
Why the manager is separate (transparency-first)
- Configure and test agents as long as needed in the backend before going live—without subscription pressure
- Full transparency: inspect and edit instructions, schemas, tools, and logs directly inside Shopware

Note on product search results: Agents work with a condensed product representation to keep tool payloads lean. The backend Playground shows exactly what the agent returns. Storefront-facing plugins (like this Chatbot) additionally wrap the optimized products.response in dedicated storefront templates to present richer listings. This template layer is intentionally maintained only in storefront plugins to avoid duplicating UI maintenance.

Setup & requirements
- Install and activate the free OpenAI AI Assistants & Agents Manager (required):

- Create or select an assistant in the Agents Manager, test it in the backend Playground, then paste the Assistant ID into the Chatbot configuration
