Auctions - Items to be auctioned
Compete with eBay and auction your items in an auction directly in your shop. Attract your customers with low priced 1,- Euro auctions and awaken the desire to gamble.
You can mark any item in the shop as an "auction" and specify a date that determines the end of the auction. The specified price for the customer group "shop customers" is the starting price of the auction. So you can start articles with 1,- Euro or with your shopping dish. You can maintain the minimum step of an increase (e.g. 0,50 Euro) in the plugin settings.
Your customers can now participate in the auction and bid against each other until the end date. The auction will take place according to the proven and well-known principle of eBay.
Every bidder can place his maximum bid. If another bidder bids an amount that is less than the maximum bid of the current bidder, the new bidder is immediately and automatically outbid again. Only when the new bidder has reached the maximum amount of the current bidder is the new bidder actually outbid.
Your customers can view current and completed auctions in their customer account. Bidders can also register to receive an email as soon as they are outbid by another bidder.
As soon as the auction ends on the end date, the highest bidder and the shop operator (configurable in the plugin configuration) will each receive an email. The highest bidder can now add the item to the shopping cart at its price in the item details and complete the purchase.
Your customer will be informed by text hint or with a checkbox (depending on the plugin configuration) when placing a bid that each bid is binding and commits to purchase.

- install and configure the plugin
- in the backend you can mark single items as auctions
Notes
- an auction is always only for one piece of the item
- if you want to sell an item multiple times, you have to create and auction the item multiple times in the backend
- only the price for the customer group "shop customer" is valid as starting price
- the price is the same for all customer groups
- please pay attention to useful article data - e.g. no indication of a maximum / minimum purchase or a basic price calculation
