About the Extension

Use your shop as showroom

Many shops are operated parallel to a local shop. The assortment often includes articles where each specimen is unique, e.g. individual products, high-quality plants or handicrafts. At the POS, the customer can view the specimen before buying, but in an online shop the effort can be disproportionate. Furthermore, seasonal articles can be sold out faster at the POS than the stock can be updated in the online shop. In such and other cases, one would like to use the online shop only as a showroom to draw attention to the wide range of products in the local store.

With this extension you can present products that can only be bought on site in the shop. All the possibilities of Shopware are available. For showroom products, the display of availability can optionally use separate text snippets, be completely deactivated or remain unchanged (new since 1.3.0).

You can activate the extension per product or globally for all products in your shop. The shopping cart button is hidden and replaced by a notice. The notice is configurable (title, text, colour and icon). For each product, you can set up notice titles and texts that differ from the plugin settings.

If buy buttons in listings are active, the "Details" button is displayed there for Showroom products instead of the Buy button - as for sold-out or configurable products.

As of version 1.3.0, showroom products are prevented from being added to the shopping cart by entering their order number on the checkout page.
