Product information
Let the Canonical Link of a product point to another product or any URL.
This is especially necessary, when a product is very similar to another
product (for example by duplication) or you offer the same product in
another shop. This prevents your shop from being punished by Google
and other search engines due to duplicate content.
Examples:
- Product B points to product A within a shop because they are very similar.
- Product A in a Subshop points to product A in the main shop. Instructions: 1) Open a product in the Shopware-Backend as usual via "Items -> Overview".
2) In the "Free text field" section the text fields "Canonical Link (Artikel)", "Canonical Link (Shop)" and "Canonical Link (URL)" are available (after installing the plugin).
3) Fill in desired field(s) (see behavioural matrix).
4) Save (delete cache if necessary) and your configured Canonical Link will be used.
