About the Extension

Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/1960 obliges online shops to inform consumers about their rights before the purchase from 27 September 2026. This plugin does that automatically:

1. Harmonised notice on the legal guarantee of conformity (Annex I)

The official artwork from the Official Journal of the EU appears on every product detail page without any maintenance and, if you wish, additionally on the checkout confirmation page. That also covers buying paths that never open the product detail page. The language follows the shop language automatically: all 24 official EU languages are included, other languages receive the English version.

2. GARAN durability guarantee label (Annex II)

Products with a confirmed, free manufacturer durability guarantee of more than two years additionally show the GARAN label, on the product detail page and at the respective cart position in the checkout. Only the three elements the regulation allows to be edited are filled in: guarantee duration, brand and model identifier. The rest of the artwork stays unchanged.

Maintain per product or centrally per manufacturer

You can enter the guarantee data on each product or once on the manufacturer, optionally limited to certain categories, with subcategories included automatically. The model identifier is taken from the GARAN field on the product first. If it is empty, the manufacturer number and then the product number can step in, which you release explicitly, either on the individual manufacturer or through a global setting for the whole shop. If none of these values exists, no label is shown on purpose: no label is better than an incomplete one.

Note: The plugin provides information and display aids and does not replace legal advice. The shop owner remains responsible for maintaining the guarantee data correctly.

This extension is highlighted as part of the Premium Partner Program and can therefore be displayed with priority in the store.

Setting up the GARAN durability guarantee label

The GARAN label (Annex II) is only mandatory for products for which the manufacturer grants a free durability guarantee of more than two years. There are two ways to maintain this data:

Per product (Items > Free text fields):

Activate "Manufacturer guarantee confirmed".
Enter "Guarantee duration in years" (whole years, the label appears from 3 years).
Enter "Model identifier". Without it no label is shown, unless you activated the global setting "Use product number as fallback for the model identifier" (see configuration); then the manufacturer number and, failing that, the product number step in.
Optionally enter "Brand/trademark (guarantor)"; empty means the manufacturer assigned to the product is used.

Centrally per manufacturer (Items > Manufacturers > Free text fields):

Activate "Manufacturer guarantee confirmed" and enter "Guarantee duration in years".
Optionally use "Limit to categories" to define which categories the guarantee applies to. Empty means: all products of the manufacturer. Subcategories are included automatically.
The model identifier is resolved in this order: GARAN field on the product, then the product's manufacturer number, then the product number. The last step only applies after an explicit release, either through "Use the product number as fallback for the model identifier" on this manufacturer or through the global setting "Use product number as fallback for the model identifier" in the plugin configuration. A maintained manufacturer number always outranks the product number.

Individual products can be exempted from the manufacturer rule via "Exclude from manufacturer guarantee". GARAN fields maintained on the product always take precedence over the manufacturer rule.

Configuration

In the plugin configuration you define per subshop which labels appear on the product detail page and in the checkout, whether they are shown collapsed (accordion) and whether they sit below the buy box or below the product description.

One setting deliberately does not apply per subshop but to the whole shop: "Use product number as fallback for the model identifier". When active, the manufacturer number is used for an empty GARAN model identifier and, if that is missing as well, the product number. Since this value appears on a legally regulated label, it must not differ between subshops; Shopware therefore only offers the field for editing on the main shop.

Important notes

Only guarantee durations in whole years are supported (for example 3, 5 or 10 years). Other durations have to be checked legally by you; no label is shown for them.
Variants inherit the GARAN fields from the main product as long as they are not maintained themselves.
The product number is your shop's own number and not necessarily the manufacturer's model identifier. Only release it as a fallback when both are identical.
The plugin does not replace legal advice. The shop owner remains responsible for maintaining the guarantee data correctly.
