About the Extension
Two EU consumer-protection duties now apply to every distance-selling offer: the statutory legal-guarantee notice and the General Product Safety Regulation's identification and safety-warning requirements. This plugin displays both across your shop automatically, from data you enter once in the backend, and adds support for the European Commission's optional GARAN durability label so a stronger producer guarantee becomes a visible selling point instead of just paperwork.
Display your legal-guarantee and product-safety information automatically
The statutory guarantee notice appears on the product page, in the cart, and on the checkout confirmation page, with a choice of always-visible or expandable presentation and an optional permanent link in your shop footer. Alongside it, the plugin displays the product-safety information the General Product Safety Regulation asks for: the producer's identity and contact details, an EU-based responsible person where the manufacturer sits outside the Union, and any safety warnings you enter for a product.
Nothing here replaces your existing terms or legal pages — the notice and the safety information render as their own dedicated content blocks, sourced from data you control in the backend. Whether the data you enter is itself accurate and complete for your products remains your responsibility; the plugin displays what you configure, it does not check it against the regulations for you.
The GARAN durability label, presented correctly
For products that qualify, the plugin renders the official GARAN label artwork with the guarantee duration, producer brand and model filled in, plus a QR code that links straight to the guarantee conditions. You choose how it appears in each part of the shop independently — a compact image that opens the full label in a dialog, the full label inline, or a plain text trigger — and it only ever renders once a product's own guarantee data qualifies.
Configure guarantee data once, not per product
Guarantee terms can be set directly on a product, or once on a manufacturer as a shared default that every one of that brand's products inherits automatically. A product-level entry always overrides the manufacturer default when you need an exception, so most catalogues only need a handful of manufacturer-level entries plus the occasional override.
Placement is configurable independently for the product page, the product listing, the cart and the checkout confirmation, including:
- Where the guarantee label sits on the product page — below the price, below the delivery information, below the buy button, or inside the description tab
- Where the product-safety information sits — in the description tab, in its own tab, or below the buy button
- Which customer groups see the notice at all, so a B2B-only group can be excluded where the consumer-facing obligation does not apply
A record for every order
Each order stores its own record of which guarantee and notice version applied at the time of purchase, kept separately from later configuration changes to the product or manufacturer. The order confirmation email can attach the official notice as a PDF and, where a product's manufacturer has uploaded one, the producer's guarantee document — so this information reaches the buyer as a file, not just a link.
An overview screen for your configured guarantees
A dedicated backend module lists every product in your catalogue alongside its guarantee validation status, so you can see which products are configured and eligible, which are pending, and re-check the configured ones — individually or in bulk — on demand. The same data is one click away from the product edit screen, where a Guarantee tab and a Product Safety tab sit alongside the fields you already use, and a supplier-level tab lets you set manufacturer-wide defaults in one place. Products that already have guarantee data configured are re-checked automatically once a day, so an expiring validity window or a later data change doesn't go unnoticed.
