About the Extension
With the plugin "Show left sidebar on the start page, on the article detail page, in the blog or only for selected categories" you can show the left sidebar on the start page, on selected article detail pages or in the blog or hide it for selected categories. In the Shopware standard, the left sidebar is only displayed in the tablet and desktop resolutions; the OffCanvas menu is used below the tablet resolution.
The categories for which the sidebar should be hidden can be selected individually within the respective category editing mask in the Shopware backend. The item detail pages for which the sidebar should be displayed can also be selected individually within the respective item editing mask in the Shopware backend.
Within the plugin configuration, further class selectors that should also be hidden in the Listing / Shopping Worlds category can be specified. This makes the plugin compatible with the "Filter in sidebar" and "Filter in left column / siderbar" plugins, for example. For example, to also hide the category text and the top seller, you must enter the following value (without quotation marks): ".hero-unit.category--teaser.panel.has--border.is--rounded|.topseller. panel.has--border.is--rounded"
The plugin configuration offers the following setting options, among others:
- Show left sidebar on the start page (Yes / No)
- Hide left sidebar in category listing / shopping worlds (Yes / Yes - but only for selected categories / No)
- Show left sidebar on the article detail page (Yes / Yes - but only for selected articles / No)
- Show left sidebar in blog (Yes / No)
- Show icon for marking subcategories (Yes / No)
Notes on the plugin
The plugin is optimized for the standard Shopware 5 themes. If you use a different theme, please check the compatibility with a test version of the plugin first. Furthermore, please check whether the plugin is compatible with other plugins used. We expressly recommend that you test the plugin in a test environment and NOT in the production system in advance in order to avoid any complications.

Notes on the plugin
(1). Unencrypted: from Shopware version 5.2 or the plugin version 2.0.0 the plugin is provided completely open source, so it does not require the Shopware license manager and can therefore be used without the iOnCube Loader without any problems.
(2). Multilingualism: the individual texts, labels and messages in the backend can be adjusted within the text modules according to your wishes.
(3). Subshop capability: the plugin is subshop capable and can be activated for each subshop.
(4). Compatible themes: this plugin is compatible with Shopware's responsive theme and themes derived from it. When using a third-party theme that was purchased from the Shopware Store, proper use of the plugin cannot be guaranteed.
(5). Demo shop: we have set up a demo shop for you so that you can get an overview of the functions of the plugin before you buy it. There you can test the plugin and convince yourself of the range of functions and the benefits. You can find the link to the demo shop in the "Demo" tab.
