Description of the plugin
With the plugin "Customizing the shopware blog (new areas for the blog sidebar, etc.)" you can customize the shopware blog.
For example, you can specify which areas of the right blog sidebar should be displayed:
- the area "login"
- the area "date"
- the area "authors"
- the area "tags"
- the area "blog navigation" (new area, contains all blog categories including the blog subcategories as a filter)
- the area "Blogkategorien" (new area, contains all blog subcategories as a filter)
- the area "newest posts" (new area)
- the area "popular posts" (new area)
- the area "facebook" for the facebook - fanpage (new area)
- the area "subscribe to newsletter" (new area)
- a separate area with own content either from the plugin configuration or from a snippet and thus also, if necessary, from blog category free text fields (new area)
The right blog sidebar can also be shown with the new areas at the blog detail page.
It can also be set to not show the right blog sidebar at all. The left sidebar can also be displayed in the blog listing or on a selected blog detail page.
Within the plugin configuration you can also choose to hide the image slider on the blog detail page. This option can thereby also be activated on selected blog detail pages.
Furthermore, you can choose within the plugin configuration, how many blog posts in the blog listing should be placed next to each other (1, 2 or 3). The boxes of the blog posts are always equally high.
Within the plugin configuration you can also select whether the title and the short description in the blog listing should be shortened and whether the image should be displayed over the entire area.
Within the edit mask of the blog post in the shopware backend, the blog badges "sponsored post" and "featured post"can be set for each blog post.
Similarly, within the edit mask of the blog post in the shopware backend up to 5 related blog posts (expandable up to 10 related blog posts) for the new slider "related blog posts" can be set for each blog post. The new slider can be displayed either above or below the slider "related articles". Additionally you can deactivate the comment function for selected blog posts (or globally for all blog posts within the plugin configuration).
Within the plugin configuration you can also select whether the input field for the email address should be hidden when commenting a blog post. In order to not have the rating confirmed by the confirmation of the mail address, which does not have to be entered anymore, you can deactivate the Double-Opt-In procedure by clicking on "configuration" - > "basic settings" -> "frontend" -> "Email settings" with "Double opt in for blog comments & customer reviews:" and selecting the value "No" and empties the complete shop cache, including template and backend cache.
Furthermore, within the plugin configuration it can be selected whether the privacy notice, either as text or as text including a checkbox field, should be displayed when commenting the blog post on the blog detail page.
The author, the date and the tags can be hidden in the blog posts and the month names can be displayed instead of the month numbers. Likewise, the plugin also allows to disabling the commenting and rating functions and to hide the bookmarks on the blog detail page.
The following options are available for the sorting of the tags in the right blog sidebar: "Shopware - Standard", "alphabetically ascending" and "alphabetically descending".
The following bookmarks are possible when sharing a post:
- Google Plus
- del.icio.us
- digg
The plugin provides a backend widget for the latest blog comments, listing the lastest blog comments, the creation date of the blog comment, the name of the blog comment author, the comment of the blog comment author and the status of the blog comment (not yet unlocked / unlocked).
Informations about the plugin
(1). Developed according to the new plugin system from shopware 5.2.
(2). Compatible with PHP 7.
(3). Test for 30 days without obligation: with the trial version you can use the plugin for 30 days free of charge and in full directly in your shop.
(4). Compatible themes: this plugin is compatible with the Responsive theme from shopware and themes derived from it. When using a third party theme, which was purchased through the shopware store, the proper use of the plugin can not be guaranteed as with any other shopware plugin.
(5). Subshop compatiblity: the plugin supports subshops and can be activated per subshop.
(6). Unencrypted: the plugin is provided completely open source, so you do not need the license manager from shopware and it can therefore be used without problems without the iOnCube Loader.
(7). Multilingualism: the individual texts can be customized within the snippets modules according to your own wishes.
(8). Own shopware blocks: the plugin provides its own shopware blocks so you be able to adapt or extend the plugin update safe in your own theme.
