CREATE AVALEX ACCOUNT AND PURCHASE LEGAL TEXT
To be able to use our service, you need a free avalex account. After creating an account, you have the opportunity to purchase a privacy policy for your domain.
ANSWER OUR ONLINE QUESTIONS
In order to create an individual privacy policy just for your domain, we will ask you a couple of questions about your website and your company that are relevant in termns of data protection. Don't worry, the questions are quite easy to answer.
AUTOMATIC UPDATES OF LEGAL TEXTS
We provide an easy-to-install Shopware plugin. After installation, add our shortcodes to your legal text pages and the legal text will be updated automatically according to the current legal situation. That's it!

Configuration manual

Installation guide

Step 1: Log in to the backend of your Shopware shop. The login url typically is www.yourdomain.de/backend/.
Step 2: Download the avalex plugin for Shopware.
Step 3: Open the menu item "Settings" -> "Plugin Manager" in your Shopware backend. Switch to the menu item "Installed". Now click on the button "Upload Plugin" above and select the previously downloaded .zip file on your hard disk. Click on "Upload Plugin".
Step 4: You will now see the avalex plugin in the block "Uninstalled". Click on the green plus icon to install the avalex plugin.
Step 5: Now click on the "Activate" button in the plugin window. Confirm the reinitialization of the cache with "Yes".
Step 6: Close the plugin window. Click on the pencil in the line of the "avalex privacy policy" plugin. The plugin window will open again. Now enter your avalex API Key in the "API Key" field in the "Configuration" tab and click "Save".
Step 7: Finally, we need to know exactly where the privacy policy should be displayed on your website. Therefore, open the menu item "Content" -> "Shop pages". Select the folder "Links" and then the page "Privacy". If this page does not exist, create it. On this page add the shortcode [avalex] in the field "Content" and click on "Save".
Step 8: The new website with the avalex privacy policy must be directly accessible from every url on your website. If you have not already done so, we recommend to link them in the main navigation or in the footer with the anchor text "Privacy" or alternatively "Privacy Policy".
