Using the Facebook Pixel (Meta Pixel), you can target existing customers on the social media platforms Facebook, Instagram, and Whatsapp Business. You can reactivate existing customers, acquire new customers, measure results, and optimize conversions.
The pixel measures various events that your visitors and customers perform in your shop.
Conversion API to improve the quality of your events
If desired, our plugin captures the events via the Conversion API of Facebook, in addition to the Facebook Pixel. Learn more about Conversion API functionality.
Facebook Domain verification
As an additional function, the extension inserts a meta tag in the HTML source code of your shop for domain verification for Facebook's Business Manager. Domain verification strengthens the integrity and security of your content on Facebook.
Functions
Standard Events
This plugin integrates the 10 standard events from the Facebook Pixel into your Shopware shop.
Using the Facebook Business Manager, you then have the possibility to create the following exemplary Custom Audiences:
All visitors of the shop, who are members of Facebook and..
- ..searched for term X
- ..added product X on the wishlist, but did not bought
- ..started the ordering process, but did not finish it

In addition, we measure 7 custom events. With them you have the possibility to create the following exemplary Custom Audiences:
All visitors of the shop, who are members of Facebook and..
- ..made more than one order and whose average basket value exceeds X
- ..have a customer account and looked at shop category X
- ..viewed a specific manufacturer and viewed at shop category X
The events
- ViewProduct: viewing a product (like ViewContent, but no product catalog necessary)
- ViewCategory: viewing a category listing
- ViewManufacturer: viewing a manufacturer page
- FrequentShopper: logged in, recurring customers with more than one order (including average basket value)
- CustomerHasAccount: logged in customers with registered customer account in the shop
- RatedProduct: customer has rated a product
- CustomerStreams: transmits customer streams of a logged in customer
Advanced Matching
Advanced Matching is a function offered by Facebook and can be optionally activated in our plug-in.
It helps Facebook to recognize customers in your shop that are not logged into Facebook at the same time. The data is transmitted encrypted to Facebook.

Privacy modes Opt-In & Opt-Out
You can choose between three different privacy modes. By default, the pixel is activated immediately and without notice to the visitor. Alternatively, you can activate the Opt-In or Opt-Out mode. This displays a corresponding message to the visitor and allows the user to opt-in or opt-out. Requires Shopware 5.3

Facebook & Instagram Marketing
Dynamic Product Ads
By connecting a product catalog with the Facebook Pixel in the Business Manager, many more possibilities are opened up. You then have the advantage of using Dynamic Product Ads, and are thus able to present individual products to potential buyers on the basis of a measured event. The standard events ViewContent, AddToCart and Purchase were using the data of the connected product catalog.
IMPORTANT: The Siteowner liable for data protection law. Please check it by your self.
Requirements
For the measurement of the data a free account with Facebook Business including an installed pixel is required. In addition to the use of the data in the form of advertisements, an established advertising ad manager and, if dynamic product ads are desired, a connected product catalog is required.
