Description
With our Search Booster for Shopware, you can specifically optimize your search results and thereby sustainably improve your conversion rate. Define which products should be displayed with priority for specific search terms and highlight important products in a targeted way. Enhance your search result pages with individual landing pages to provide customers with additional information and significantly improve the shopping experience. Thanks to the synonym feature, your customers will also find suitable products when using different terms – for example, a search for "car" can automatically include products described with "vehicle" or "automobile". In addition, you can use a blacklist to explicitly exclude certain products from the search and maintain full control over the displayed results at all times.
Product Booster
With the booster feature, you can specifically prioritize individual products for certain search queries
and actively control the order of the search results. Define for which search term a product should be
displayed with priority when a customer performs a corresponding search.
Using the search strategy, you determine how the search term is evaluated. You can choose whether an
exact match or a partial match should be considered, and whether the entire search query or individual
words are compared. This allows the boosting to be flexibly adapted to different search behaviors.
The ranking score defines the position of the product within the "Best results" sorting.
The higher the assigned score, the further forward the product appears in the search results.
Since Shopware automatically assigns ranking points for regular matches, an individually assigned
ranking score enables targeted prioritization of individual products – for example, to reliably
place them in the top position.
Optionally, you can further restrict the boosting:
- Using a rule from the Rule Builder, you can define under which conditions the product should be boosted (e.g. customer group, cart value, or time period).
- In addition, boosting can be limited to a specific sales channel in order to display different search results per channel.
Landing Pages
With this feature, you can display Shopware landing pages directly within the search results and
provide customers with relevant content already during their search. The selected landing page is
displayed above the search results and offers additional context for a specific search term.
First, define the search term for which the landing page should be displayed.
Using the search strategy, you specify how the customer's input is evaluated – for example,
whether an exact match or a partial match is used and whether the entire search query or individual
words are taken into account.
Next, select the landing page that was created using the Shopware standard and should be displayed
for the corresponding search. This allows you to provide targeted information, guidance, or thematic
content for frequently searched terms.
Optionally, the display – as with product boosting – can be restricted using rules from the Rule Builder
and to specific sales channels.
Synonyms
With the synonym feature, you can link different terms and ensure that customers find suitable products
even when using varying search queries. Define a search term and assign multiple synonyms that are treated
as equivalent terms.
For example, if a customer searches for "vehicle", products described with terms such as "car" or
"automobile" can also be found. This improves the quality of search results and reduces searches with
no or irrelevant results.
Optionally, the use of synonyms – similar to the other features – can be restricted using rules,
a specific language, and individual sales channels.
Blacklist
With the blacklist feature, you can explicitly exclude individual products from the search results.
This ensures that certain products are not displayed for defined search queries – for example, if
products should no longer be promoted or are not relevant for specific terms.
Define for which search term the selected products should be excluded and maintain full control over
the displayed search results.
The blacklist works independently of the automatic ranking of the Shopware search and enables a
deliberate control of the result list.
Optionally, the exclusion – as with the other features – can be restricted using rules and individual
sales channels.
Shopware Standard Search
Please ensure that the Shopware search is correctly configured and, if required, that additional product data – such as the product description – is included in the search. In addition, you can simulate searches to determine the ranking scores assigned by Shopware for individual products and use these values as a reference for subsequent product boosting.
