About the Extension

Media is the solution to a central problem in the Shopware 6 standard: providing downloads for products. This is not possible by default, and additional fields are not an optimal solution either, as they do not allow for clear management of the files. In addition, new additional fields must be created for each additional file - this applies to products, orders or media that are to be displayed in a download center.

Providing media efficiently to your customers has been a challenge up to now - but with Media for Shopware 6 that is over!

The extension not only eliminates the confusion and complicated processes, but also enables the targeted playback of download media.

From now on, you can manage all media in your shop professionally and easily and make it available for download in order to meet the requirements of the Product Safety Regulation (GPSR). Manufacturer data such as data sheets, instructions and drivers can be provided directly on the product so that customers can access all important information quickly and easily. This makes the provision of safety-relevant documents efficient and compliant.

First-class overview including filter search function.

With Media you finally have a media overview that brings clarity to the matter: Thanks to the practical filter search, you can always find exactly the media you need at the moment - lightning fast and stress-free. This will make coordinating your media even easier, faster and more organized in the future.

Media assignment with maximum added value.

Link your media with different entities. The advantage: The media assignment automatically ends up where it should go. Whether products, orders, customers or experience worlds - this precise assignment saves time and ensures that your downloads are available exactly where they are needed.

Need a download center? No problem with the CMS block "Media" for output to experience worlds.

With the CMS block "Media" you have a new element for the experience worlds with which you can very easily display media on experience worlds. Determine exactly which files are displayed - whether by type, group or individual selection. This makes the media output not only functional, but also a real visual eye-catcher.

Console command for resource import from Shopware

With the console command, Media offers you a powerful import tool for a quick and automated export of your resources from Shopware 5 with immediate import into your Shopware 6 shop. Avoid manually entering your media, avoid risking errors and save a huge amount of time during migration.

Individual media tab in the customer account.

The Media extension offers you the option of making media accessible as a separate menu item in the customer account. And only the media that is assigned to the respective customer. This also makes media download clearer and easier for your customers. A real user experience.

Use the Media extension to create your own experience world layout for the download area, which can be easily duplicated and adapted to your own wishes.

Compatibility

Our extension is generally compatible with all our own extensions, provided that the respective functionalities do not conflict with each other.
For third-party extensions, including Shopware’s premium extensions, we cannot guarantee unrestricted compatibility. Should any issues arise in this context, our support team will be happy to assist you.
Naturally, when new Shopware versions are released, we ensure that our extension is made compatible with them in a timely manner.
Please note that our statements refer to the Shopware Community Edition with the standard responsive theme.

To process your request as quickly as possible, please ensure that:

• The latest version of our extension, compatible with your Shopware version, is installed
• You have a valid rental or subscription license
• The issue also occurs in the Shopware standard theme and with all third-party extensions deactivated
• No changes have been made by you or third parties to the plugin code
• You have studied the manual in advance, as it already contains many helpful pieces of information

In most cases, it is necessary for us to have unrestricted access to your shop’s administration in order to analyze and fix the problem. Additionally, it may be required for you to provide us with FTP or ideally SSH credentials for your server. Please note that setting up and later removing these accesses is your responsibility.

For a smooth troubleshooting process, we recommend conducting support in a staging or development environment. This allows issues to be reproduced under controlled conditions without affecting your live shop.
