Advanced Google Analytics 4 integration for Shopware 6.
The Google Analytics 4 integration uses the events:
• add_to_cart
• login
• search
• view_search_results
• sign_up
• begin_checkout
• checkout_progress
• purchase
• remove_from_cart
• view_item_list
• view_item
Data for Google Analytics 4 will only be tracked, if the customer allowes trackinv via consent-management.
Also this extension includes tracking using URL parameters. Regardless of which platform the potential customers come from - they can always be assigned.
The desired referrer is saved both in the customer profile and in the order to enable a detailed evaluation. In the Shopware Dashboard there is a graphical evaluation for a quick overview; reports can also be downloaded via CSV. This function is particularly interesting for agencies if a success fee is used for campaigns.
The plugin also offers the option of setting a corresponding cookie in addition to session tracking. This also enables tracking if the customer leaves the page in the meantime and returns at a later point in time. The registration of the cookie and the period of validity can be set.
More features will be added in future versions.
Configuration regarding Google Analytics 4:
Just setup the Google Analytics 4 ID in the plugin configuration, activate the usage of tracking cookies in the plugin configuration, clear cache and you are ready to go.
