Description
Since the introduction of Art. 6a / §11 PAngV on 28 May 2022, merchants must display the lowest price of the last 30 days when advertising price reductions. Shopware does not calculate this price automatically. This plugin helps shop operators automatically calculate, store and display this information in the Storefront.
The plugin was developed to reduce the long-term effort required to determine and display the lowest price. Price changes are recorded, the lowest price of the last 30 days is calculated and the result can be displayed in the Storefront.
Process
When a product price changes, the price is automatically recorded.
The lowest price of the last 30 days is calculated using an index- and cache-based process.
The calculated price can be displayed on the product detail page in the Storefront.
The output can be activated and configured per sales channel.
Storefront output
Shop operators can choose whether to use the theme’s default output or display a custom notice below the product price. The notice text is fully configurable and supports the placeholder %price%, which is automatically replaced by the calculated price.
The notice can also be hidden when the current product price already equals the lowest price of the last 30 days.
Adding prices retroactively
If the plugin was installed after a price change, prices can also be maintained retroactively. Historical prices can be added or edited in the product settings for products, variants and advanced prices.
Setting exceptions
Some products may be excluded from the price calculation. For these products, the calculation can be disabled in the product settings.
Performance
The calculation is index- and cache-based. This reduces unnecessary live calculations during page requests on product detail and category pages. Advanced prices and rule-based prices are also processed in a performance-optimized way.
