About the Extension

By default, only images can be displayed in the Shopware product detail view.

We have therefore developed a plugin that offers the following functions:

Integration of product videos
Videos can be displayed both in the thumbnails (product gallery) and below the product description. External videos from YouTube and Vimeo are supported, as are videos from the Shopware media library. Several videos can be stored for each product.

Privacy-friendly integration
Thanks to extended privacy mode, videos can be integrated without cookies. This means that no data is transferred to third parties.

Better visibility in search engines
Video rich snippets ensure that product videos are displayed more attractively in browser search results, thereby attracting more attention.

Customised order

The display order of the videos can be individually determined by setting priorities.

I have to override the code to integrate basic features into shopware:
1/. The video doesn't stop playing when moving to a new slide item.
2/. When clicking on the image to open the zoom popup, the image after video goes with the wrong order because of missing video index.
3/. Video iframe wasn't embedded in the zoom popup when clicking on the image.

So wie jede andere Erweiterung von ACRIS, funktioniert auch diese einwandfrei.
Ich bin so zufrieden, das ich immer zuerst schaue, ob es die passende Erweiterung von Acris gibt, bevor ich etwas anderes kaufe.

Habe mir das Plug-in gekauft und bin sehr zufrieden. Meine Änderungswünsche wurden mir für nach dem Sommer zugesagt, weniger als eine Woche später bekam ich eine Mail mit der Bitte zum Update. Man habe das alles bereits umgesetzt. Mehr kann man nicht wollen.

Installation

Call the Plugin Manager via Settings > System > Plugins
Upload, install and activate the plugin

Plugin configuration:

6.7: Extensions > My Extensions > Product Video > Configure

Sort videos: Highest priority first
Example: a video with priority 80 will be displayed before a video with priority 60.
Also display the first video in the product description
The first video in the thumbnail will always appear in the product description, regardless of other settings.
Display all videos in the image slider
Without activating this setting, only the first video will appear in the thumbnail.
Display videos in the description
This displays an overview of all videos below the product description.
Only display related videos from the same YouTube channel
By default, a random video recommendation is displayed after the video ends. With this setting, only videos from the same channel will appear (only works for YouTube videos).
Embed the YouTube video without affecting the performance of the page
Only works for YouTube videos. The YouTube video is embedded on the page after the video starts playing.
Display position of the video in the image slider on the product detail page
Depending on the position, the video is displayed in the image slider on the product detail page in first, second or last place, or it is not displayed at all.
Load preview images from YouTube
Load preview images directly from YouTube (default) or only after consent to the YouTube cookie (privacy mode).
Preview image if no cookies have been accepted yet and privacy mode has been activated
This preview image is displayed as long as the user has not accepted cookies and privacy mode is active.
Cache time for metadata (in days)
Specifies how many days the metadata is stored in the cache.
Display video icon in thumbnails as overlay
Controls whether a video icon is displayed as an overlay in the product thumbnails to make videos immediately recognisable.

Adding videos to products
Catalogues > Products > Select product > General tab > Videos > Add

Video type
Select the video source (YouTube, Vimdeo, media, embed URL)
Video ID
Depending on the video type, either the video ID or the complete embed URL is stored here. Example (YouTube): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oY3Tf9y79l8 -> Video ID = oY3Tf9y79l8
Extended data protection mode
Enables integration without cookies, so that no visitor data is transferred to the video provider.
Show control bar
Determines whether the video player controls are displayed.
Internal Name
Freely selectable internal name for management in the backend
Restrict videos to language
Optional restriction to certain languages. Without assignment, the display will be in all languages.
Preview image for the video
Individual thumbnail that is displayed before the video is played.
