About the Extension

Purpose of the plugin

Products can have numerous properties, the display in the frontend is done among each other without any grouping. With this plugin "property groups" can be created, these "property groups" can be assigned any properties. The display in the frontend is then done with the "property group name" and below all assigned properties. All properties that are present on the product, but are not assigned to a property group, are displayed "below" in a "different" group.


Using the plugin

After installation, a new area for creating property groups is available in the admin under "Settings > Extensions > Property groups".
Prerequisite for using the plugin: It would have to be created under "Catalogs > Properties" and these must also be assigned to the products so that the display in the frontend. (=Shopware Standard)

With the button "Add property groups" a new property group can be created with the following fields:

  • Name: will be used for display in the frontend.
  • Active: yes/no
  • Priority: Determines which group a property is assigned to if it appears in multiple groups. The higher the number, the higher the priority of the group. 
  • Position: The position determines the order in which the groups are displayed. The lower the number, the higher up the group is displayed.
  • Assigned properties: all properties that belong to this group are assigned here.


After creating and assigning the properties, they will be displayed in the storefront at the corresponding product. (it may be necessary to clear the cache).
