About the Extension

Purpose of the plugin

The plugin enables order emails to be resent and custom messages to be created directly in the Shopware administration. Emails for individual or multiple selected orders can be prepared with suitable content, recipients and document attachments. Typical uses include resending order confirmations, sending existing invoices or providing additional information about an order.

Send emails for individual or multiple orders
Email sending can be opened directly from the order detail page. Alternatively, multiple orders can be selected in the order overview and prepared for sending together. A separate email containing the relevant order data is generated for each selected order.

Use existing templates or create custom messages
An existing email template, such as an order confirmation, can be used as the starting point. The subject and content can be adjusted for the current send without changing the saved template. Alternatively, a custom message with its own subject and content can be created.

Add order variables to email content
Order variables can be inserted at the cursor position with a click using the variable tree. A code editor with syntax highlighting and autocomplete supports content editing. Additional text can also be entered for template-based emails. It is displayed when the TWIG variable acrisMailResendAdditionalText is included in the template.

Choose recipients and sender details
For each order, the email can be sent to the customer, the administrator or a custom email address. The administrator option uses the shop owner's configured email address. Sender options include the sales channel's default setting or a custom sender name and email address.

Attach existing order documents
Documents such as invoices can be sent with the email by selecting the required document types. For each order, the latest existing document of each selected type is attached. Documents must already exist for the order.

Review emails before sending
A live preview supports content editing. The generated email can also be reviewed separately for each order. After submitting the emails, a results overview shows which emails were handed over to the mail system. Failed handovers are listed by order, with a link to the log for further details.

Purpose of the plugin

This extension is highlighted as part of the Premium Partner Program and can therefore be displayed with priority in the store.

Eine wirklich gelungene Erweiterung für die tägliche Arbeit mit Bestellungen. Mehrere Bestellungen können direkt in der Übersicht ausgewählt und die jeweiligen Kunden anschließend mit individuell personalisierten E-Mails angeschrieben werden.
Besonders praktisch sind die Verwendung bestehender E-Mail-Vorlagen, die Möglichkeit frei definierter Nachrichten mit Bestellvariablen, optionale Anhänge und die Live-Vorschau vor dem Versand.
Für uns spart diese Funktion künftig viel Zeit und macht die Bearbeitung von Sonderfällen mit mehreren betroffenen Bestellungen erheblich einfacher.
Besonders hervorheben möchte ich außerdem den Support von ACRIS: Wir hatten den Wunsch nach dieser Funktion geäußert und die Umsetzung erfolgte unglaublich schnell. Genau so stellt man sich guten Support und die Weiterentwicklung eines Plugins anhand echter Anforderungen aus dem Shop-Alltag vor.

Installation

Open the Plugin Manager via Extensions > My extensions
Upload, install and activate the plugin

Configure the plugin

Orders > Overview

Individual order
Open the required order and click the envelope icon with the “Resend email” tooltip.
Multiple orders
Select the required orders in the overview and choose “Send email”. A separate email is prepared for each selected order.

Template

Email from template (e.g. order confirmation)
Use an existing email template as the starting point. The subject and content can then be adjusted for the current send.
Custom email
Create a message with its own subject and content. Order variables and existing documents can also be used.
Template
Select the required email template. This field is only available for template-based emails.

Settings

Sender
“Default (sales channel)” uses the shop owner's configured email address. Select “Custom” to specify your own sender details.
Sender name
Enter the required name when using a custom sender.
Sender email address
Enter a valid email address when using a custom sender.
Attachments
Select the required document types. For each order, the latest existing document of each selected type is attached. Documents must already exist for the order.

Content

Subject
Edit the preloaded subject or enter your own. A subject is required for sending.
Content
Edit the email content in the editor. Content is required for sending. Changes apply only to the current send and do not modify the saved template.
Variables
Expand the required entry in the variable tree and click the plus icon to insert it at the cursor position.
Additional text
Optionally enter additional text for template-based emails. To display it, include the TWIG variable {{ acrisMailResendAdditionalText }} at the required position in the email template.

Recipients & preview

Recipient
Select “Customer”, “Administrator” or “Custom” for each order. “Administrator” uses the shop owner's configured email address.
Email address
Enter a valid email address when using a custom recipient.
Preview
Review the generated email for the relevant order. When multiple orders are selected, you can switch between previews.

Sending

Send now
Hand the prepared emails over to the mail system. The results overview then shows successful and failed handovers. A successful handover does not confirm delivery to the recipient.
Open log
For failed handovers, open the log to view further details about the affected order. The link is available to users with the system.logging permission.
