About the Extension

Initial situation

Normally a domain is used in a Shopware sales channel, e.g. https://www.acris.at.
In this case the Shopware standard works correctly and you do not need this plugin.

Problem with several languages in one sales channel

However, if you use several languages, specify these as sales channels with a directory and no longer have a main domain e.g. https://www.acris.at/de-at and https://www.acris.at/en-gb etc., then you can use this plugin to reduce unnecessary 500 errors.

How it works

The plugin allows you to define a "default" sales channel. This will always be redirected to if the user or a search engine calls the main domain (without language) and would get a 500 error.

What is the difference between this plugin and a 301 redirect ?

A redirect from the main domain, e.g. www.acris.at to www.acris.at/de-de, leads to the same result.
