About the Extension

Purpose of the plugin

With the plugin TinyMCE HTML Editor you extend your Shopware text editors in the entire admin area with the possibilities of an HTML editor and additionally create internal links of Shopware entities. Shopware entities include products, categories or landing pages. Thus, you can link directly to these entities in any texts. In addition, the plugin extends the text editors by the use of predefined text, button and table formats, which are oriented from the design to the selected theme. This ensures that the correct design elements are used in all texts on the store page.

Standard functions of TinyMCE HTML Editor

TinyMCE HTML Editor makes it easy for you to edit texts. With the help of the plugin you can enter and format texts the way you are used to from your word processor, without having to write HTML code. You can use the editor to mark text passages as headings, design listings and tables, insert and position images and insert references.

Customising the TinyMCE configuration

In the plugin settings of the TinyMCE plugin, you can customise the TinyMCE configuration according to your wishes.
However, it is important that you place a valid JSON there.

Additional functions of the TinyMCE HTML Editor

Internal links

Internal links to entities (products, categories or landing pages) can be created in addition to external links. All products, categories and landing pages created in the system can be easily selected and linked via drop-down field. In addition, you also have the option to open the internal links in separate tabs.

Use of the function

Open any text editor
Create a new link - select a text and click on the link button in the edit bar
Select "Internal" for the link type
Select an entity (product, category or landing page)
Specify a suitable element of the entity
Switch "Open in new tab" on or off if necessary

Theme-based formate template

In addition, an extended formate template function is available in the editors. Text, button and table formats can be used to match the defined theme.

Use of the function

Open any text editor
Select the appropriate element in the text where the formate template is to be applied

       Select a link to apply a button style
       Mark a text to apply a text format
       Mark a table to use a table format

Click Format > Formats in the edit bar and select a suitable formate template

Der Editor ist kompakt, übersichtlich und bietet dennoch alle wichtigen Funktionen. Das Feature, das man damit auch bestimmte Formate wie primäre oder sekundäre Buttons einfügen kann, gefällt uns!

Bin immer wieder begeistert vom Support. Keine 3 Stunden, da kam schon ein Update, weil mir eine Kleinigkeit im Plugin fehlte, Tolles Plugin, wie viele andere Plugins von Acris aus.

Endlich wieder ein brauchbarer Editor

So kann man endlich wieder vernünftig arbeiten. Der von Shopware gewählte Standardeditor ist sowohl hinsichtlich Usability und auch was die erzeugt HTML-Codequalität betrifft, eine Krankheit (und das vor dem Hintergrund, dass TinyMCE da durchaus auch Schwächen hat). Schaut auch optisch viel besser aus als noch zu SW5-Zeiten.
Im Rahmen des Supports hat mir Acris eine fehlende Option in der Toolbar innerhalb von 2 Tagen im Rahmen eines Updates nachgeliefert und das noch während der Probezeit.
Das ist Spitze und an Kundenorientiertheit nicht mehr zu toppen.

How can I configure a p-tag (paragraph) as the default tag?

Can images be inserted directly from the Shopware media?

Yes, we have integrated the Shopware media selection directly into the TinyMCE editor. The Shopware media selection can be opened in the editor under Insert > Image > Source.
