About the Extension

Purpose of the plugin

The plugin makes promotions, important information and newsletter offers visible in relevant areas of the shop. Banners and pop-ups can be displayed based on the page, product, rule and time. This draws customers' attention to relevant offers and encourages newsletter subscriptions.

Flexibly design banners and pop-ups
Content created with Shopping Experiences can be used as a banner or pop-up. Banners can be placed in different areas of the shop, such as above the header or above the footer. Priorities can be assigned to multiple banners, and it can be specified whether they may be closed.

Display promotions selectively
Promotions can be displayed on the home page, in selected categories, for specific products or during checkout. Dynamic product groups and Rule Builder rules can be used to further restrict their visibility.

Schedule the display
Banners and pop-ups can be scheduled using a start and end date as well as specific weekdays and times. A delayed display is also possible. For pop-ups, it can be specified when they should appear again after being closed.

Combine newsletter subscriptions with promotion codes
A customizable newsletter form can be integrated into the Shopping Experience. Once the subscription has been confirmed, the plugin can generate an individual promotion code for a selected Shopware promotion and send it by email. The pop-up can be hidden automatically after the newsletter subscription.

This extension is highlighted as part of the Premium Partner Program and can therefore be displayed with priority in the store.

Installation

Open the Plugin Manager via Extensions > My Extensions
Upload, install and activate the plugin

Create a promotion banner

Settings > Extensions > Promotion Banner > Promotion Banner > Add

Basic settings

Internal name
Name used to manage the promotion in the Administration.
Priority
Determines the order when multiple banners are displayed.
Valid from / Valid until
Optionally limits the promotion to a specific period.
Restriction to weekdays
Defines the weekdays and times during which the promotion is visible.
Active
Activates the promotion in the shop.

Display

Banner type
Choose between a banner and a pop-up.
Exclude banners with a lower priority
Displays only the banner with the highest priority.
Banner position
Places the banner above the header, below the navigation block, above the footer or below the footer.
Closable
Defines whether the banner can be closed.
Button for closing the pop-up
Shows or hides a close button for pop-ups.
X button: color / hover color
Customizes the appearance of the close button.
Pop-up display
Defines whether the pop-up appears again in every new browser session or only after a specified number of days.
Do not display the pop-up again after newsletter subscription
Prevents the pop-up from appearing again once a newsletter subscription has been completed.
Number of seconds
Delays the display. If set to 0 seconds, the banner or pop-up appears immediately.
Assigned rules
Optionally restricts the display using the Rule Builder. If multiple rules are assigned, it is sufficient for one of them to apply.

Design the content

Under Content, an existing Shopping Experience can be assigned or a new one can be created. Texts, images and other elements can then be edited in the Shopping Experience editor. A dedicated newsletter element is available for newsletter promotions.

Define the placement

Display everywhere
Displays the promotion throughout the shopping area.
Display only on the home page
Limits the promotion to the home page.
Display only in selected categories
Requires the relevant categories to be selected.
Display only for selected products/product groups
Allows a product and dynamic product groups to be selected.
Display only during checkout
Limits the promotion to the cart, checkout and order confirmation.

Configure newsletter promotion codes

Settings > Extensions > Promotion Banner > Additional settings

Promotion for newsletter subscription
Selects an existing Shopware promotion for which an individual promotion code is generated after the newsletter subscription has been confirmed.

Individual promotion codes must be activated for the selected promotion, and the maximum number of uses per customer must be set to 1. The generated code is included in the newsletter confirmation email.

Settings > Extensions > Promotion Banner > Additional settings

Load promotion banners after cookie confirmation
Defines whether promotions are loaded immediately or only after cookie consent has been given.
