About the Extension

Purpose of the plugin

The standard version of Shopware does not offer an integrated option for creating a fully-fledged blog with an appealing design and flexible content control.

We have therefore developed a plugin that seamlessly integrates the blog into Shopware and offers the following functions:

Creation and management of blog articles
Blog posts can be created, edited and published directly in the Shopware admin area. Authors and blog groups can be easily created and managed, allowing posts to be organised by topic and clearly structured. A visibility period can be defined for each article to automatically show or hide content. In addition, the Rule Builder allows flexible control of visibility.
Clear presentation of blog posts

With the included blog listing element, all articles can be clearly displayed in the blog overview. You can choose between a list and a box layout to adapt the display to the desired design.

Individually designed blog detail pages
The blog detail pages can be designed entirely using Erlebniswelten. A ready-made standard layout is already included and can be easily adapted to your own design. With flexibly combinable elements such as sliders, text, image or cross-selling areas, posts can be presented in an appealing way and optimally integrated into the shop.
Optimised for search engines
With individual meta data and SEO fields, each blog article can be specifically optimised for search engines and made easier to find.

Open Plugin Manager via Settings > System > Plugins.
Upload, install and activate the plugin.

Settings > Extensions > Blog articles > New blog
Settings

Internal name
Internal name displayed in the admin area.

Display date
Sets the publication date of the blog article.

Author
Select a previously created author to whom the blog article will be assigned.

Active
Activates or deactivates the blog article.

Active from / Active until
Defines the period during which the blog article will be visible.

Display conditions

Blog group
Select one or more blog groups in which the article should be displayed.

Sales channel
Restrict the visibility of the article to specific sales channels.

Rule
Select conditions from the Rule Builder to flexibly control the visibility of the blog article (e.g. by customer group).

Internal name
Used for internal identification of the blog group in the admin area.

A breadcrumb is only displayed for blog articles if a category is entered here.
Breadcrumb priority
The higher the priority, the higher the blog group is ranked in the search for a breadcrumb.

Blog groups
Select one or more blog groups whose articles are to be displayed in the blog listing.

Number of blog articles per page
Specifies how many blog articles are displayed per page.
Maximum number of blog articles to display
Limits the total number of blog articles displayed.
Pagination Horizontal alignment
Determines the position of the page navigation (left, centre or right).

Blog layout
Select the desired layout for displaying the blog articles (e.g. list or boxes).

Category assignment

After creating the layout, it must be added to a category. To do this, navigate to Catalogues > Categories and select the desired category or create a new one. Assign the previously created blog layout in the ‘Layout’ tab. Then, under ‘Blog Groups’, you can assign the corresponding groups whose articles should appear in the blog listing.

Blog detail page

Content > Experience worlds
A standard layout (ACRIS Default blog detail page) for the blog detail page is already included in the plugin and can be used as a template or customised. The ‘ACRIS Blog’ block category also offers various elements that can be configured individually.
