With the Shopware Payment Methods Restriction plugin, You can restrict payment methods based on Individual customers, customer groups, product, category, countries and cart total. 

Depending on the order amount and the customer making the purchase, you can show the most relevant and convenient payment options. This increases user satisfaction, saves time, and reduces the chances of cart abandonment. 

Display Relevant Payment Options to Your Customers

Every customer group has a different payment preference. Based on the product they are buying and their region, different users require different solutions. For many customers, COD minimizes the risk of online fraud; while online payments offer ease of payment without having any cash readily available. 

On the other hand, advance payments are more secure for merchants as they receive the amount before the order is delivered. Thus based on your target audience, it is important to show the right payment option to your customers, and the Shopware Cash Restrictions plugin does exactly that. 

Limit Payment Options Based on Cart Total

You can show desired payment options based on the cart total. The cart amount must fall within the values set for the rule. You can choose to display specific payment methods based on the customer group. Allow users to either pay in advance, pay upon delivery, or pay online. The same applies to COD and advance payments; therefore, for different orders, you can choose and offer the most convenient method. 

Show Error Messages When Users Pick the Wrong Payment Option

In case a user chooses the wrong payment method, you can display an error message. Let's take an example. If the limit for COD is $100-500 and the user places an order of $600, you can show a message letting them know that the COD method is not available for the particular order amount. These messages ensure your customers are aware of the available payment options.
