Create DPD shipping labels and return labels directly from orders

Manage your daily DPD shipping in the Administration. Create shipping labels and return labels, process multiple orders in one batch and keep track of labels, downloads, tracking and shipping statuses.

DPD Gold Partner and certified shipping tool: The extension connects your order processing to the DPD web services and supports your workflow from label creation through to shipment tracking.

Ship orders individually or together

Start DPD shipping directly from the order overview. For several selected orders, you can create separate shipments in one batch or combine suitable orders into a single DPD shipment.

Manage DPD labels for daily dispatch

Created DPD labels are available in a dedicated overview. Search and filter them by creation date, select individual labels or complete daily groups, and print or download the required documents in one batch.

Document handover to DPD

Create a DPD shipping manifest from selected labels or orders. It contains the relevant parcel details and a field for the driver's signature, allowing you to record the handover of parcels to DPD at the end of the shipping day.

Keep customers informed automatically

Tracking links can be sent to your customers automatically by email. Shipping statuses and tracking codes can be updated on the order, while the shipping history is available in both the Administration and the customer account.

Return labels can also be provided by email or offered for download in the customer account. Customisable email templates help you adapt shipping and returns information to your own communication style.

Automate shipping and returns with Flow Builder

Use Flow Builder actions to create shipping labels and return labels automatically. Additional triggers and actions support recurring processes involving shipping statuses, tracking and customer communication.

Offer DPD Pickup parcel shops and preferred safe places

Customers can select a DPD Pickup parcel shop from a map directly at checkout. The selected parcel shop is used for the shipment and can be changed in the Administration if required.

You can also let customers authorise delivery to a preferred safe place at checkout and in the customer account. The option can be shown or hidden in the configuration.

Manage shipping profiles for locations and sales channels

Shipping profiles combine DPD web service credentials, contract details, sender addresses, optional return addresses and other shipping settings. Profiles can be assigned to sales channels, with a default profile acting as a fallback.

Prepare parcel weights and multi-parcel shipments

Parcel weights can be calculated from product data and the settings of the selected shipping method. Missing product weights can be covered by a fallback. Percentage-based and fixed packaging weight adjustments can be included in the calculation.

If a shipment exceeds the configured maximum weight, it can be split into several parcels. The weight, dimensions and number of parcels remain adjustable before the labels are created.

Review recipient and shipping data before creating the label

If required, edit the recipient address, parcel details, references and selected DPD product before creating the shipping label. Shipping method defaults can provide suitable initial values, which remain editable in the shipment dialogue.

Prepare international shipments from Germany

For relevant export shipments, customs tariff numbers, countries of origin and invoice line items can be prefilled from product, order and fallback data. Review and edit the details before creating the label.

The extension supports various DPD products and services, including Classic, Express, Food, Predict and ID Check. Availability depends on the shipment type, destination and DPD contract.

As the connection is provided through Applifaction as a DPD Gold Partner, DPD supplies the required DPD web service credentials regardless of shipping volume. If you initially receive only Cloud credentials, we will support you in switching to the appropriate DPD web service credentials.

The extension is intended for shipping with DPD Germany. International shipments can also be created from Germany.

Ich kann das DPD Versand-Plugin von Applifaction wärmstens empfehlen, insbesondere für alle, die regelmäßig mit DPD versenden. Das Plugin ermöglicht es, Versandetiketten direkt im Shopware Backend zu erstellen, was den Vorgang enorm vereinfacht und beschleunigt. Ein echter Pluspunkt ist, dass die Sendungsnummer automatisch zu jeder Bestellung hinterlegt wird.

Is DPD Food supported?

Yes

I only have access credentials for the Cloud API from DPD. How can I get a DELIS-ID?

The extension uses DPD Webconnect. DPD currently still provides Cloud API credentials by default to small-volume shippers handling fewer than 2,000 parcels per month. The Cloud API is no longer being developed. To obtain a DELIS ID for Webconnect, contact us through the support form and provide your Cloud User ID. We will coordinate with DPD so that you can receive Webconnect access regardless of your shipping volume. DPD will contact you directly during the process and arrange the required contract.

Can I use the DPD plugin only with DPD Germany?

The extension is compatible exclusively with DPD Germany. You can also use it for international shipments originating in Germany. If you are based outside Germany, please contact the local DPD service partner in your country.
