About the Extension

The pre-order availability manager pro allows various scenarios related to pre-ordering to be realized. 

The articles are extended with an availability date. This date defines when the item will be available again. 

The following statuses can be defined chronologically:

  • Out of stock
  • Coming soon (freely definable text --> item is not yet available for purchase, but it is apparent that the item will be available again)
  • Pre-order (customers can order the item before it is available)
  • In stock (immediately available)


Example:

You have ordered 100 pieces of an item that will arrive at your warehouse on 02/01/2025. The quantity of 100 and the availability date are transferred by you to the item. You can now decide whether to sell this item in advance as a "pre-order". Define a start date at the product level from which the pre-order should begin. 

Now, the customer will initially see a "coming soon" information on your site and the item is not available for purchase. Once the pre-order start date is reached (for example, January 15, 2025, two weeks before the availability), the item is available for purchase as a "pre-order" for the customer. Once the availability date is reached (in this example, February 1, 2025), the "add to cart button" will be displayed normally again. 


The plugin also offers the option to display more information to the customer about the remaining quantity and availability dates. For example, a "available from MM/YYYY" can be displayed in the product listing. 


A "pre-order" countdown function can also be activated.
