About the Extension

Bay20 Promotional Banners turns banner management in Shopware 6 into a simple admin task. Create a banner, pick where it should appear, optionally schedule it — and the plugin does the rest. Eight predefined placement slots cover the most common merchandising spots: three positions on the homepage (top, middle, bottom), category pages, product detail pages, the cart, the order confirmation, and the global footer. A single banner can occupy multiple slots at once, so a holiday promotion can run across your home page and checkout in one click. Targeting goes beyond plain placement. Restrict banners by sales channel for multi-store setups, or scope them to specific categories or products. Category and product mappings inherit downward: a banner mapped to "Clothing" automatically shows on every sub-category, and a banner mapped to a parent product shows on all its variants — no duplicate entries to maintain. Upload separate desktop and mobile images per banner and let the browser pick the right one via a native element with a 768px breakpoint — no JavaScript, no layout shift, no extra requests. Built on Shopware 6.7's Data Abstraction Layer with translatable title and alt text, multi-language admin UI (EN + DE included), and a page-extension architecture that plays correctly with the HTTP cache. Production-ready code, no deprecated APIs, no third-party dependencies. PSR-12, fully typed PHP 8.3.
